Offer them to your local vet clinic. They use them and don't have the same restrictions as "people doctors" do.
A pharmacy sent me needles with my vitamin B liquid but they are a larger gauge so I don't want them. It seems a shame to just throw them away. Anyone know what I can do with them?
i agree that craigslist one sounds sketchy. freecycle work but i think they might have a policy about this sort of thing. i think i'll give the animal hospital a try.
thanks everyone :)

Hi Nikki,
My suggestion is to take/send them back to the pharmacy. If that is not an option, I would take them to your doctor's office or local hospital or senior living facility. I did this with my son's tubing and albuterol doses that we ended up not using. Often, these types of thing are bundled and sent overseas for further use. I hope this finds you well. S.
Maybe donate to a local free clinic?
Cannot return them to pharmacy. Actually no one will take them. Depending on size, maybe a horse farm. You would not believe what I have in medical supplies and cannot get rid of them. You can put the needles in a plastic bottle and put out with garbage.
I would bring them back to the pharmacy and try to exchange them.
You could also offer them on Craigslist or Freecycle.
I would donate them to some sort of charity. Maybe an animal shelter?
Try taking them back to the pharmacy
I'm not sure a pharmacy can take them back.
I sure would not want needles from anyone but the pharmacy.
If you take them to your Dr he can throw them out as medical waste.
I hate to think of the people who might reply if you put them on Craigslist (assuming there are no rules against listing medical supplies there).
Taking them to a vet might be a good idea.
I think you have to dispose, nobody will use needles that aren't from a reliable source. I think you actually have to notify your trash company so they can give you a special container (i,e needle sticks etc.)
If you cannot find an animal hospital or other group to take them, contact a hospital and see if they know of a group that helps poor groups or countries. A nurses group may even be able to assist. We receive needles that we do not use and they are also packaged. The gage is too small for my son. One of the contacts I had works with a group that helps out poor countries or other groups and is happy to take sealed items. I don;t know if there is anything in your area though.
