What to Do with the Spare Parts of Our Cribs???

Both of our children have convertible beds....from crib, to toddler bed, to full sized beds. When you make it into a full sized bed there are spare parts (sides of crib and safety gate). Does anyone have a creative way to use these parts versus just tossing them in the trash? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

If you are sure you are done with theses parts and won't be using them at all anymore, this lady might have some suggestions for you. http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/ She is amazing with home decor and always has creative ideas. I have used a lot of her ideas in my own home. Her email address is ____@____.com is used to getting email from strangers, so, if you are worried, don't be. Hopefully she can help you. I'm sure she can.

Well you have a daughter... have you thought of possibly using some of the parts to make her a baby doll bed?
Just a thought.

We found a crib out by the garbage so my husband decided to use the sides as like a sliding gate to separate and keep the kids in the living room. It slides behind the entertainment center which is pretty heavy so I guess it depends how your home is layed out. It was one of those metal cribs so if yours is wooden it may cause some more wear and tear.

Hello!
If you have the room, I would store them and when you are done with all of it, donate it somewhere.

No creative suggestions, but I just put the extras to my kids' beds under my bed. If that doesn't work for you perhaps you have someplace else to store them. I wouldn't throw them away; that seems so wasteful. Besides some of those beds hold up pretty well and may even be reused by someone else some day. Good luck; I know storing kids' stuff can be a pain sometimes.

Hi, I don't have any creative things to do with the parts. I was thinking you could hold onto them and if your sure you're done having kids you can donate them to Stepping Stones-helps abused women/children or Goodwill.
