My garden produced some spaghetti squash. Yay! So, now what do I do with it? Seriously, I've never cooked with spaghetti squash. (I think I had it in my head that it was zucchini squash when I bought it.)

What are your favorite spaghetti squash dishes?

What can I do next?

I make 'spaghetti' boats here.

I 'halve' the squash and bake it with a drizzle of olive oil...salt and pepper...350 oven til tender.

I also have sauce cooking...usually meat sauce.

When squash is tender...I shred it up...right in the shell...throw sauce on it...and everyone gets a 'boat'...usually with a side of garlic bread...and salad!

I have tried doing an 'Alfredo' with it as well...that got mixed reviews.

Also, have just cooked it...then shredded...and butter and salt and pepper as a side...That seems to be appreciated by my gang as well!

enjoy!

I scrape it out with a fork and then add sauce or just cheese or butter and salt and pepper. I like the texture.

my husband is diabetic so we love spaghetti squash as a substitute for pasta. Bake it, then scrape out the insides and it comes out like spaghetti. You can make your favorite sauce and pour over it. We also use it to make a kind of lasagna. A very healthy way to eat Italian!

Look on Martha Stewart's site. It's sweeter than spaghetti noodles so it throws me off to do it that way.

Love, love, love spaghetti squash, and so does my 3-year-old, particularly when she sees it "transform" into spaghetti!

I will poke holes in it and put it in the oven whole for about 30 minutes, depending on its size. I'd check every 20 minutes.

Then I allow it to cool, scrape it out into a dish like an actual bowl of spaghetti and treat it as such.

I'll put salt, a pinch of pepper on it, parm. cheese and a little bit of tomato sauce.

Love Felinestroller's idea, as well.

Treat it just like spaghetti! It is an amazingly tasty and healthy alternative to pasta. If you have a favorite spaghetti and meatballs recipe, make it with this instead. You will love it.

I'm traditional...butter and salt.

If I'm feeling adventurous I'll use it like noddles for the kids.

I also love to bake it and eat it like spaghetti with spaghetti sauce. I often sauté mushrooms to add to it.

I poke holes in it with a fork and boil it for 20-30 minutes (until it's soft). Then I cut it, scoop out the noodles and put spaghetti sauce on it and eat it like regular spaghetti. I find that the squash noodles are way more tastier and healthier than the standard flour spaghetti noodles.

Oh Yum! I love Spaghetti Squash!!
I cut it in half, long ways, and rub it with olive oil. Then I put it cut side down in the oven on a baking sheet at about 350 or 400, for about 45 minutes or until it's tender. Then I take it out and run a fork through it to shred it up. I usually leave it in the rinds, and use them like bowls. Then I top it with my favorite pasta sauce and eat it like pasta. I have also eaten it alone and it has a lovely, sweeter, squash taste that is really delicious.

I cut it in half to make 2 long oval shaped halves. I turn them cut side down into a 13X9 pan and add a small amount of water. I cover the pan with foil and bake it until it smashes down really easy when I push on the halves, foil still on in case I need to bake it more.

I put it in on 350 degrees and check it every 15 minutes or so.

When it's done I hold it up and the strands pretty much fall out. I use real butter and very very easy salt and pepper.

We cook them in the microwave, then take a fork and shred it out. Put spaghetti sauce on it.

Perfectly delicious.
