J.,
I hope you find this information helpful. With 3 girls, there's been our share of rashes!
First, to avoid further irritation, be sure to use a mild/senstive/fragrance-free wash. I'm partial to Arbonne's ABC baby line, but whatever your pediatrician would recommend would be good. The diaper rash cream is awesome! I use it even on my 7 and 10 yr olds with anything that is red. As long as it isn't a recurrence, that usually does the trick.
Also, avoid bubble bath products. They are tend to make the problem worse.
You should be able to call in to the Dr.'s office and speak with a nurse to describe what's happening. They might recommend an OTC and then check-in with them later if it hasn't cleared.
I've use lotrimin (which may even be for males) which has helped. You may want to wash her bottom and dry thoroughly whenever she goes potty. It's a pain, but that has also helped clear up any issues.
Good luck and let me know if you've found any of this helpful.
