I've been struggling with finding a lovely song to walk down the aisle to, so I thought I'd turn to you.

The precessional song is posted in the SWH.

I just need a song for me to walk to. Hit me up with your great ideas. I love Coldplay's "Yellow."

What can I do next?

You want a song for you to walk down the aisle to...

- Rainbow Connection (Kermit the Frog sings it, but there is a really beautiful instrumental version)
- Wonderful World

I doubt you'd want to, but I walked to The Imperial March (Star Wars) for laughs and a surprise. People still talk about my husband's face when that came on, and how he just started shaking, trying to hold in his laughter.

As for your precessional: I have always loved C Perri, and it's lovely with the violin. Good choice for a more serious affair. It'll be wonderful, whatever you choose for the rest. Congrats!

I love "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. Such a happy, timeless, and optimistic song. I'm sure you could find a beautiful instrumental arrangement.

Wow that precessional piece is beautiful!!!

I love "Into the Mystic" but that's probably too casual.

What about Pachelbel's Canon or is that too formal?

I have always LOVED Yanni - I walked down to "To Have To Hold" by Yanni.

It is quite different from Coldplay, but really I just wanted to emphasize that I think it is important and cool when people put themselves into their ceremony rather than always going with traditional music.

:-) Use what you like! :-) BTW - LOVE the thought of star wars march!! LOL that would have been awesome to witness! :-)

Good friends of ours used Super Mario Bros. theme (played on string quartet!) for their recessional...that was cool :-)

I walked in to "Do You Dream of Me" by Michael W Smith. Our Music Minister played it. I think it's a beautiful song, but I wanted him just to play it and not sing.

You want a real song, or classical?
I walked down to Trumpet Voluntary. In the church with the orchestra, it sounded rich and fantastic. And different from what you normally hear...at least for me.
