I am looking for a natural pill that I can take that will help me stay regular. I do not " go " very often. I am getting sick of a 2-4 day span where I feel bloated and uncomfortable. Is there a natural pill that is out there that will help my digestive system that won't over do the process either ? Thanks for the tips

What can I do next?

I use Miralax. It's a powder but you can't taste it. I put it in a little warm water and let it desolve and then add a little orange juice and drink it. It really works. Good luck.

Take a magnesium tablet every night before bed. It's a miracle worker. I take 500mg, you have to play with it to see how much you need.
It's nice to feel skinny "inside".

Try Activia twice a day for two weeks, and increase your fiber. I eat a handful of raw almonds everyday. (Cooked nuts contain hydrogenated oils that are bad for you heart.). Google " foods high in fiber". Also drink 8 - 8 oz glasses of water a day. The colon needs water to help move waste through.

Probiotics - and you don't NEED them in pill form. You can take them that way, but as with most nutrients, they are meant to be consumed in foods:
yogurt (no sugar!)
kefir
lactofermented (NOT VINEGAR) pickles, sauerkraut and kimchi
even salsa can be fermented. And these are just a few options.

It's so easy to do yourself, but you can find truly lactofermented brands at a natural foods store, too. Rejuvinative Foods is one brand.

First off, make sure you're eating enough fiber and eating enough fruits and vegetables every day. Are you drinking the recommended amount of water every day? Those are the easiest fixes for constipation and don't cost anything. You can also try putting flaxseed in scrambled eggs, in omelets, in smoothies, in oatmeal, in just about anything. That's another good natural laxative (that's the one I personally use).

My daughter has issues with constipation and isn't the best of an eater. I have her take Natural Vitality, Natural Calm, which introduces magnesium into your system to help stimulate your bowels so that they naturally eliminate. It comes in a variety of flavors and can be found at Whole Foods.

It's not a pill, but I highly recommend Smooth Move Organic Tea.
It tastes good and really works.

Metamucil and the like work to keep you regular, but you have to be faithful in taking it every day. The idea is that the increase in fiber intake will keep you regular, and it comes in many forms. Probiotics do increase digestive health, but not necessarily regularity.

Drinking a cup or two of coffee in the morning seems to keep me "regular". Good luck!

I second Mirilax. It doesn't cause cramping or bloating etc... just keeps it all "moving". Best of luck
