Just curious as sometimes I feel I am missing out on something or he is growing up so fast. Much appreciated. I wish I could spend so much time with them but life's stresses dictates differently.

My baby girl is almost 18 months (2 weeks away). She will pick up her toys when asked and put them in her toy bin. She throws her dirty clothes in the hamper. She will retrieve anything when asked for it (toys, remote, clothing, books). She will hand us our towels when we are down with our shower, and she hands daddy his boxers and socks. She uses a fork ok, not the greatest at it (I introduced it pretty late though). Same with the spoon, just ok at it. She climbs on everything, she especially likes sitting in a regular chair at the table. She babbles a lot, but so far only says a word when she feels like it. She knows all her body parts, and recognizes her earrings. It's interesting to see what other kids the same age are doing. =)

I have an 18 month girl. She is quite the copy cat and a very good climber. She babbles a bunch and makes herself understood pretty well. She likes to use a stool or a chair to reach out the way items. She has names for everyone in the family. Not all of them are verbally correct, but they are close. She eats with a fork and is getting pretty good with her spoon. She identifies all facial parts along with her feet and belly. She tells us when she is stinky and takes off her own clothes. If you aren't quick enough on the diaper change she will ditch the dirty one for ya. Hope this helps.

My 18 month old son does alot of interesting things. He throws garbage away when asked, puts his dishes in the sink, eats very well with forks and spoons, drinks the milk out of his cereal bowl, he can almost fully undress himself, he moves chairs around to get on top of the counter or table, he knows his facial parts and his feet and stomach, he can say alot of words, he says "turn it off" when he wants the tv off, climbs into carseat by himself.... I think this is the best age for toddlers. Enjoy.
