The Valentine questions has got me remembering past celebrations and gifts. I was just wondering (for fun:) what some of the most interesting, weird, off the wall, strange, good or bad gifts you have received from your hubby, fiance, BF or SO or anyone for that matter.
My oddest (good) gift I've received from hubby was when I returned from a trip with my sister over V-day weekend my hubby (BF at the time) had taken my pathfinder and had a tow package installed on it so I could pull our snowmobiles!! I LOVED IT!! It was seriously one of the best gifts he's ever given me.
My oddest (bad) gift was once for my bday he actually gave me a card with money in it!! I couldn't believe it!
Looking forward to your answers ~ it has been a long week and I need a good laugh :)

My hubby has always been good at getting me exactly what I tell him to get.
But, my most interesting gift was from his grandma, it was a ceramic, floral pig and had balls. Yep, I said balls.

My best gift was my Garmin from my husband. I fondly tell that my mom and I were born without the homing pigeon gene. I never get lost any longer. Hooray. My worst were Christmas presents a,so from my husband. The first horrible gift was he decided to shopping for me on Christmss Eve for my present. He bought me a one piece pj with a butt flap.

This wasn't actually for me. It was my ex-boyfriend's mother. She had been asking if someone would please wash her car for her. On mother's day, my ex and his dad bought her $100 worth of carwash tokens. Not exactly what she had in mind!

When my husband and I were still dating he bought me a 5 ft long Ball Python snake for my birthday. I somehow think this gift might have been more for him :-) Im not much of a snake lover. And yes, I still married him.

The best gift ever was from my fiance on V-Day; we were low on funds that year so he got creative. He baked a batch of sugar cookies, iced them and used a food pen to write a poem on them, that he wrote! :) I came home to find a card, a single rose, and the cookies on our counter. It was really touching and heartfelt. :)

Last fall I was admiring my mother's new robe. It was exactly the kind of robe I had been looking for for some time, we had even gone shopping together earlier last year and she watched me go through the racks looking for "the perfect robe". A few days later she offered to give it to me, since it was a little long for her (she had only just purchased it), as she is 5ft and I am 5'7". I gladly took it off her hands and she was pleased that I liked it so much. I gushed about my new robe for weeks. A few weeks later I was laughing telling her that my dh really liked it, too, and I I was going to get him one since his was wearing out and he was sneaking off with mine in the morning.

Fast forward to Christmas Day. I open one of my gifts from her, and it's a different robe. Exactly like one I rejected on that shopping trip for being too Granny-like. She beamed at me and said, "Now M (my dh) can have the other one I gave you! Doesn't this one look comfy? I figured you should just give it to him since he likes it so much."

I was like...what the...???? It is the ugliest robe ( but I would never tell her that), even my dh agrees. He's never been one to tell me what to wear, but he did ask if I would not wear the new one anymore because it makes me look frumpy and old lol!

For our first anniversary (dating) my now hubbie "surprise" me with tickets to a Yankee vs Angels baseball game. I don't mind watching sports or going to games but it was not what I was expecting : ) When we got there I was even more surprised to see everyone from his work there too!! They were awesome seats though and it was a really fun night.

Now he will admit that a guy at work bought 30 tickets because it was cheaper and sold them to the guys at work (the Yankees are my hubbies favorite) so without thinking or looking at the date bought two tickets. Only later realizing that the game was on our anniversary.

I have to say he pulled it off really well, I just thought he was trying to think outside the box so I went with it >.<

Worst gift...thought I had it covered when I spent about $850 on my boyfriend on DVDs, a gaming station, clothes, CDs, and games...and he bought me a THERMOS...

This year, though, my boss may have outdid him (all individually wrapped)...
1 Jar Kalamata Olives
1 Pomegranate
2 Unripe Mangoes
1 package of frozen cream cheese pastries
1 package of frozen plantains
He then says to me and my co-worker..."Can you guess the theme I have going here?"
I reply "I got locked in Woodman's produce department, and couldn't get out theme..."
My co-worker responds "Anything I can find to make Sheryl vomit theme..."

Then 1 package of frozen guava pulp
1 jar green Spanish olives
1 bottle Sangria
1 can guanaba juice
1 bottle port wine
1 bottle Freixenet
2 packages of McCormick's powdered alfredo mix

He tries to tell us the theme is "things you need to try that you have never had." I argue with him because the only dang thing I haven't had was the guanaba juice. Asked if he thought I lived in a box???

So then he changes his theme to Spanish items since he had just taken a trip to Spain, and when we plied him with "What did you bring back for us?" He responded with "Christmas is right around the corner so you will have to wait." The problem with this is the majority of the food items are Goya products which denote South American tendencies....which I guess he didn't think we were bright enough to figure out.

We are about 99% sure he forgot to get us a gift...and the grocery store is on the way to work...which he arrived at 2 hours late that day. He also fails to realize that we had the dang alfredo mix for some photos we took regarding products that use our powder...and had bought the stuff like two years earlier, and left it in the cupboard.

The beauty was that it took him an hour and 26 mintues to individually wrap it all, so at least he kept himself out of our hair!

Good times...

My now-husband gave me a bunch of carrots for Easter one year. He was preparing to propose and wanted to tell his family that he was giving me 'carats.' Seemed odd at the time. We were engaged a few weeks later - my now-sister in law took him shopping for a diamond!

Most interesting bad gift: My husband and I had been planning a "babymoon" with my second pregnancy. It was all planned out and I was so excited, until I pulled the itinerary out of my birthday card! He gave me an "already planned for another reason" gift for my birthday! Flowers would have been acceptable. :)

Most interesting Good Gift: a single serving box of Tide from the laundry mat for valentines day (among other gifts). I had had a dream that he (we were just dating at this time) bought me a box of tide and it was the best present ever! I had wierd dreams! Anyway, he remembered that months later and stoped by the laundry mat and bought a little box to add to my gift. I still have that box today. When we moved I was going through stuff and I found it, I couldn't remember why I had it till he reminded me, it still makes me smile.

My three year old came up to me yesterday and told me he had a suprise for me. He was so excited and his face was just lit up! He told me to hold out my hands and close my eyes, so I did. He gave me my 'gift', I opened my eyes, and it was his cheese trash! He looked at me so expectantly.....I've never made such a big 'happy' deal about a peice of trash in my life!
