My son is 3 1/2..he has loved his Cozy Coupe since he was 1. We recently "retired" it to the attic so we could save it for his sister. I bought it at a garage sale for $2, best $2 I ever spent.
I am looking into purchasing a riding toy for my little one. Something like a small four wheeler like Little Tykes. She is 17 months so nothing that goes fast. Her little cousin has a small jeep type battery operated one. What do you recommend? Thanks for the help in advance.

We too have the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. My oldest boy (now 7) got it for his first Christmas. We've never used ours outside, so it's in great condition, and both boys still use it, although the 7 year old is getting harder to fit in it. It was a great investment. The battery operated power wheels are lots of fun, but they are pricy. I'd look on craigslist for one. We got two of those battery powered jeeps that retail for well over $200 each for only $40 total. If you have a girl, there's even more to pick from on craigslist, and the girly ones are usually in better condition. ALthough they have smaller ones, I'd wait until closer to 3 to get one of those.
Just a hint if you decide to go with the cozy coupe, Toys R Us is running a deal right now where you can buy one Little Tikes item and get one free up to $29.99. So, if you bought the car, you could pick another $30 toy for free. We did that one year and got the gas pump to go with it for free.
I second the Cozy Coupe - it's not motorized though. We got it for my son when he turned two almost four years ago. He and his 3 y/o sister still play with it. Very well made.
I have a number of riding toys since I have a daycare. I would recommend a Cozy Coupe. You can find them used for about 25.00-35.00 on craigslist.com. New, they are about 60.00.
