My daughter failed her hearing test in Right ear. There was nothing wrong with the middle ear or the nerves in the inner ear. They said it was due to immature hearing. What the heck is that??? Is there anything we should be doing?

I think "immature hearing" is what my husband has.
Didn't you ask when you were there?
Did you not ask the doctor or technician or whoever it was that gave her the test?
Call back and ask for either a call back or a follow up. You'll be able to ask lots of questions then.
Welcome to Mamapedia.
We aren't doctors and I honestly feel it's way too soon for you to be on an internet forum or "Dr. Google". You must talk to the people who diagnosed her! There absolutely should be staff at that office and a chance for you to talk to the physician who actually has her test results in front of him/her. I have no idea how any answer here or anywhere else on line would be the place to start. You start with the practitioners involved with her. If you aren't satisfied, you can get a second opinion from a specialist or a children's hospital.
It's essential that parents have trust in the medical staff they are using - ask for a better explanation, some handouts, anything and everything that they can provide.
If this was a school hearing test, then set an appointment with a real ear doc (don't know what they are called).
I have some knowledge in this area. I am thinking your child is young and had a hard time completing the exam. I imagine they plan on doing a follow-up evaluation?
You really need to talk to the doctor about it. Make sure you have a pediatric ENT for her as well.
