I'm starting to think of places for our family to go this summer for a vacation. Has anyone vacationed in Ocean City, MD? Are there fun, family activities to do with young children? My boys will be 3 and 6. I know they'll enjoy the beach, but are there other things to for them to do?
I think OC is too overcrowded. Bethany is MUCH nicer than OC. I suggest you look at Sea Colony Resort. You can find info at: www.resortquest.com We stayed there last year and it is a true family resort with LOTS to offer and reasonable.
Ocean City is a super fun vacation spot for families! Your kids will love the boardwalk! I highly recommend it!
Look into Bethany Beach, Deleware. You can always take the short drive to Ocean City from there when you want to go on the boardwalk.
Ocean City is great for families. They have a board walk with games & rides. There is Jolly Rodgers (little theme park). Put-put golf. There is alot to do!!! We have been there many times
Bethany is a fabulous suggestion! My in-laws live there so we get down there a few times per year. It is a VERY friendly family town. There's even a little boardwalk (nothing compared to OC, but with your kids at the ages they are it wouldn't matter) Rehoboth Beach is also great - my kids LOVE going to Funland over there (dinky little rides and games) If you stay in Bethany you can get to Rehoboth if you go 20 minutes north, and Ocean City if you go 20 minutes south.
