We are having some guests over this Sat for the longhorn game and my husband wants to cook Shrimp Kabobs and Chicken Kabobs on the grill.
What do you marinade them with?
my favorite website is www.allrecipes.com....they have the best recipes on there...just search on shrimp marinade and you'll be surprised what you'll find. also, one of my favorite chicken kabob recipes is the chicken ranch kabob recipe....believe me, people will go crazy over it...look it up for all the ingredients! have a fun party!
Grill Mates by McCormick MESQUITE Marinade (found in packets in spice aisle at grocery stores)
I add pineapple juice and a bit of olive oil instead of the water to the marinade...rave reviews from guests on this one!! You can just use a can of pineapple chunks...use the juice for the marinade and the pineapple chunks on the kabobs!!
It is great for both chicken and shrimp.
Also, I use lime juice, olive oil, garlic and salt and pepper...just do not add too much lime juice or let it marinade too long or you will have shrimp ceviche :)
Garlic, lime juice, and ginger and maybe some cilantro.
My husband likes to marinade Shrimp in BBQ sauce. We then kabob them and grill. They are wonderful. You baste everything with the BBQ sauce.
Zesty Italian salad dressing is what my mother-in-law uses and it turns out really well. It tastes great and isn't too spicy for kids.
