My son had the stomach flu for two days last week. I have been having upper chest pains, dry cough, been dizzy at times, and have been extremely tired since Wednesday. Want to know if I have the flu or something. If I start walking around that is when my upper chest starts hurting.

What can I do next?

Not trying to frighten you, but aside from the obvious possibilities of allergies, a cold, bronchitis, etc-- you might consider getting tested for Valley Fever. Chest pain, cough, and lethargy are common symptoms of it and you don't necessarily have to have a "fever" for the diagnosis to fit. Valley Fever can present itself in a number of different ways and symptoms can be anywhere from very mild to sudden and severe. It's a simple blood test to find out and might be worth considering if your symptoms don't go away in a reasonable amount of time with OTC meds and rest. Best wishes-- I hope you're feeling better soon.

Oh No!!!! This sounds like you need to have the heater checked or maybe mold growing somewhere. The seasons are changing too. The winds blow, things become airborne.
But deffinetly buy a carbon monoxide alarm. Have the heater checked. My husband is a plumber. I have a 19 and 14 year old. Things become loose after years of wear.
And you know as life goes, "stuff happens". Good Luck.

You could have a range of things...go see your doctor, he needs to listen to your lungs and heart to rule out things like pneumonia, or bronchitis.

If the chest pains are heavy or crushing, you may be having a heart attack. Especially if you are tired and dizzy. No, you are not too young. YOu could also have walking pneumonia, which would hurt your lungs when walking around and have a cough. But, if I were you, I would get in to the doctor immediatley!

Hi S.-
You are doing a huge amount. Sounds like your body has said, enough. The symptoms sound like acute bronchitis or pneumonia. It will not get better without treatment. Drink lots of water, rest, and go to the Dr.
The weakness is what I remember from my episode with walking pneumonia. Take care of yourself- S.

You are doing so much you are wearing your body down. I agree on the dr. if you can/ Take ecinacea (I know I didn't spell that right). Take vitamins! You need them with how busy you are. The company I work for has great ones and they came out with a new type 2 months ago that is hitting CNN, etc. It is knocking everyone's socks off. They are 100% guaranteed to give you more energy. If they don't in 90 days you can send them back for a refund. I don't sell them, but I can show you where to buy them and help you get set up for $100 in free products and make it to where you can get 30-40% off all your purchases!

Plus I'll show you more info that will shock you on what you are using in your house that could be making you sick. All I do is inform/educate (answer any Q's you may have) about the company and process paperwork for interested people.Call or email for more info!

I have had lots of upper respiratory infections, including neumonia. The only way to tell is to go to a doctor and get an exray (this is for neumonia). If the xray is negative, then it may be a respiratory type problem. You could have a different bug than your son.
