Dr. Smith's is the only thing that worked for my kids when they had diaper rash. I get it at Kroger and CVS.
I've used Desitin white as well as the clear...actually use both...the white for healing and the clear for prevention...what do you mom's like the best...getting ready to buy more since I;m almost out and wanted to see if there was something better...A+D? Boudreaux Butt Paste?
I've liked the Desitin, so went back with it. Thanks for all the feedback.

I love Dr. Smith's! That is the one my pediatrician recommended.
TRIPLE PASTE!!! Pediatrician recommended it after my son was battling a HORRIBLE rash and it WORKED! Expensive ($30) but will last forever!
Boudreaux for healing. I don't use it, but I heard Vaseline is good for prevention.
Love love love Butt Paste!!
I LOVED A+D ointment (the one in the brown and yellow tube) for prevention of a rash and for the healing, I loved the Target store brand zinc oxide ointment. I purchased it when money was tight for us, and could not believe how well it worked! I checked the label and compared to more expensive creams and saw that it had more zinc and not by much, just a little. Go buy it! I used Butt Paste, it smelled nice but worked just alright not that well, I have also used A+D zinc oxide ointment that was not very good either.
Boudreaux really helped me as well- good stuff- I forgot which had more zinc oxide- but I think Desitin did- but still BB Paste was great!! I use Desitin as well for slits on my son's ear- always have Desitin for little cuts and scrapes!
Desitin creamy - hands down. Butt Paste is too thick to me and Desitin creamy definitely gets rid of any redness very quick and is easy to manipulate (get in appropriate areas, etc.)
thanks. :)
HOnestly, I do not like the white creams, but have yet to find a diaper rash that aquaphor cant cure!! At my house, it can pretty much cure anything:) We keep a big one at home and small ones in my diaperbags, purse..you name it! It is good for everything from chapped lips to sore bottoms. Gotta love it:) ~A.~
DR. SMITH's
Tiny white box about $7-8 each but worth EVERY penny.....This stuff healed my baby's bottom overnight.....never used anything else after found out about it.....Walmart sells it.
The Butt Paste doesn't work for my son when he's already got a rash. We've seen the best results lately with the Triple Paste - it works overnight!
Boudreaux Butt Paste is my favorite, it always worked well for my daughter.
We've been very happy with Triple Paste- it's expensive, but it doesn't take much and it works quickly! Also - if you have a rash that just won't go away, it could be a yeast infection. We ran into that problem and used a jock itch cream - went away in days! The prescription stuff for that was way too expensive!
California Baby Calming Diaper Rash Cream - I love it. It contains all natural ingredients and works really fast and well. It has no fish oil and smells good as a bonus. You can get it at Target.
This may sound weird, but it worked for my twins, if you are breastfeeding, just apply some breast milk where the diaper rash is and try to let it air dry. It worked for us and I never got through one tube of A&D Ointment! I think we still have it and they're 9 now. (old and expired but it works for chapped hands lol)
