We are going to be hosting a party, and I wanted to get your opinions on what your favorite munchies were for informal get togethers.

It's nothing fancy, just family and friends over.

So what are your favorite hors devours recipes? :D

What can I do next?

I always have crackers and cheese and fruit (can never go wrong with that) and then I make cocktail size turkey meatballs, cook on stove till browned and then put them in a casserole (2 quart) dish cover with bbq sauce and apricot preserves and bake for 1/2 hour at 350. First time I heard the combo of bbq and apricot I thought it might not taste good, but everytime I make these they go so quickly and it tastes great. I also unroll a pillsbury loaf of french bread and spread honey mustard on it and then layer on some turkey lunchmeat and some cheese and bacon (already cooked), roll it back up cut some slits in the top and bake at 400 for about 20 to 25 minutes. Let it cool. Slice into small bite size slices.

Cut pita bread in half, then in small triangles. Mix a softened brick of cream cheese with Good Seasoning Italian Salad Dressing mix, spread the cream cheese mixture on the pita bread, top with thinly sliced cucumber and then sprinkle lemon pepper on each. You can even run the tines of a fork down the sides of the cucumber (before you slice them!) to make them more special. In the past for a Valentine's party, I cut my cucumber with a heart shaped cookie cutter. These are always popular at parties because they are healthy and relatively low cal.

I have so many favorites, but this is the easiest and is always a hit at a casual function. Enjoy!

2 cans of asparagus (drained)
1 cup of mayo
1 cup of parmesan cheese (grated works best!)
Breads crumbs or crumbled Ritz crackers to cover

Mix all 3 ingredients together and put into a small baking dish or casserole. Top with cracker crumble or bread crumbs (you can drizzle some melted butter over the bread crumbs). Bake at 350 until warmed through and bubbly.
Serve with Frito Scoopers or crackers of your choice.

A go to recipe is the Knorr's spinach dip recipe on the back of the veggie soup?? box.

I also make the following:

1 8 oz cream cheese
worchestershire sauce
garlic powder
cocktail sauce
lump crab meat
chopped green onions

Mix cream cheese, couple dabs worchestershire sauce, and garlic powder till it turns a light brown. Spread it out on your serving dish, like a pizza dough. Put on the cocktail sauce, lump crab meat, then the onions. You could use mozarella cheese, too, if you wanted. Serve on crackers.

Here is my favorite recipe!

Artichoke Dip

for each can of quartered artichokes:
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
3-4 shots of tabasco

I usually make 3x the recipe in a casserole dish. Just mix well, then bake for 30 minutes at 350 or until lightly browned on top. AWESOME and easy. Serve with crackers.

I like to make pepperoni roll ups. Unroll crescent roll dough into rectangles (4 of them) and cover them with shredded mozzarella and pepperoni. Start rolling them up jelly-roll style from the long side, then slice into wheels. Bake as directed on the crescent roll package. Enjoy!
