I had birth pictures done as the birth was happening I am looking for a few songs to go along with the slide show.
I would love for it to talk about being in the womb, butterflies, miracles or anything in that nature. Its a girl!
Thanks

Who are you going to show this slide show to? I am asking because my kids would like to burn any pictures of them when they were young and happened to be naked. Me in all my glory, pretty sure they would burn the house down to make sure all evidence was destroyed.

Not sure if this would be considered a "birth song", but The Carpenter's "Close to you" (...on the day that you were born, the angels got together and decided to create a dream come true... Just like me, they longed to be... Close to You...." :) I used to sing that to my kiddies when they were infants.

I'm with Gracie on this one too! :) Not criticizing, though.

But I always liked the lyrics of 'To Zion' by Lauryn Hill. Zion is the name of one of her children, I think.

OnePerfectOne: those lists are good! "Push It", lol!!

Not sure if this would be a birth song or not but the Elton John song "Can you feel the love tonight" would be perfect for me. It's all about a new life coming into the world.

"Love, Serve and Remember" by John Astin - there is a lovely female version of this on trigoddess.com (also lots of other nice nature/womb/beauty songs). And don't listen to the critics - no one will be forced to watch the slide show I'm sure. More power to the ones that do - birth is beautiful!
