Torrance has MANY great rental properties & the schools are great. But the rent can run a bit high because of that. We lived in a 2 bdrm condo that ran about $1600/mo. We now live on the Torrance/Lomita border & pay $1725 for a 3 bdrm, 2 1/4 ba, attached garage, large patio, and hook-ups. We love this area, we know all of our neighbors, it is small hometown living with big city amenities only minutes away. El Segundo is great too. It has the same appeal with the small hometown living. Check the Daily Breeze, Westside Rentals, and other local newspapers.

Try joining Westside Rentals. Also check the Beach Reporter, Easy Reader and Daily Breeze.
It shouldn't be too difficult to find something in a decent area for $2000 or even a little less.
Take walks around neighborhoods you like and check for "For Rent" signs... we see them all over when we do our daily trek (So Redondo) - and they are not always neccessarily posted in the classifieds.
Best of luck to you!

Hi D.! I have a friend who is selling her mobile home in carson. It is right across the Carson Civic Center and near the Southbay getting a bigger mobile home. She says that the monthly payment would come upto $ 1,500 a month.

Hi D.,
How soon are you looking to move? A friend of mine has a unit for rent in El Segundo. It won't be available until the end of the year though, and I'm not sure how much they're going to be asking. I highly recommend you look in El Segundo for a place to live. Get a copy of the El Segundo Herald to find listings or just drive around town. It's a safe and great community to live in with great schools. You have to try it to believe it. Most people who live here refuse to move away unless something happens and they have to move out of state. Good Luck.

Hey D.-
We bought a place a few months ago and the house we used to rent is for rent again........guess the new tenants didn't work out.........
It's right on Grand Ave. in El Segundo about a mile off of Sepulveda.
El Segundo is AWESOME and the Parks and Rec department has great classes for everyone in the family!
Sorry to hear of your recent loss and i wish you the best in finding a great place to live. The cute little house is a 2 bedroom 1 bath and rents for 2300 a month, you may be able to talk them down though as it's STILL for rent!
Take care!
