put a little vaseline on the inside of his nostrils.
My son is a snorer, which actually can turn into quite a loud squeaking.
He used to have sleep apnea issues associated with this, but we discovered his food allergies at 6 months and he's been better for several months now. His ENT has already recommended removing his adenoids, but we've been waiting for him to turn 14 months.
His snoring has recently picked up quite a bit again and we figured out that it seems related to the dry cold fronts coming through. Adding a humidifier at night has taken care of it at home, but he's having trouble at daycare during his naps. His teachers are concerned about his snoring and I'd like to try to find a way to add moisture for him there.
Can any of you think of the best way to moisturize his nose during nap time since it's not reasonable to have a humidifier at daycare? Saline drops? Vaseline?
Thank you!

I use Vaseline on my 3 year old's nose. She doesn't snore, but just gets really dry. She feels better when she uses it.
Have you asked the daycare if you purchased a humidifer if they would use it. All they have to do is fill it up with water each day I am sure they would do that for you. Just make sure to buy one that does not need a filter or the filter never has to be changed. You could clean it every Friday before you leave.
I use a saline gel http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100095&a...
I love it.
They also sell a nasal saline gel that you can apply with a q-tip in the cough/cold section of Walgreens.
I recommend putting vaseline on a q-tip and have them swab his nose before he goes down. I know that when I was pregnant, I had nose bleeds like CRAZY! That was how I could keep my nose moisterized.
