I get a bikini wax before every trip to the beach...for me I don't really have to shave there for at least 4 weeks after a wax...and even then it grows in sparsely. Seriously a bikini wax is some of the best money you could ever spend! Be sure to do it at least a day or 2 before you leave...you'll have red bumps for a day or two until the skin calms down. Shave the area until about 2-3 days before the wax...don't go in there with a forest, it will take forever.

I don't do my legs...too much surface area for me to tolerate being waxed. I'm not going to lie, it hurts. But the bikini area is SO worth it and it's a small area. I just shave my legs...I love not having to do the bikini area though because I always get razor rash there no matter how good my razors or shaving creams are. If you get the bikini wax you're perfectly smooth all vacation!

Tip: take 2 Advil about 20 minutes before the wax. Seems to help me a little.

I can't imagine paying someone to rip out my pubic hair by the roots, but that's just me.

for waxing to "work" your hair has to be at least a 1/4" long...

The first time I had a bikini wax, I had a HUGE black and blue markings...not that it was done wrong - there was a lot of hair - i was told to let it grow out...learned my lesson! :)

A leg wax usually can last me about one week...

I'm confused about shaving daily - my GF does that - and that would just drive me insane...I don't mind the "stubble"...for a day or two...I'm not going to shave my legs daily. but that's ME!

i get my bikini area waxed every 4 weeks. it is totally worth it. and when the hair does grow back, it is lighter an softer. I am not going to lie- it does hurt a little, but it is not so bad if you keep going back.

I must have a sensitive bikini line because if I shave it gets extremely irritated, red, bumpy, and itchy. So yes, bikini wax it totally worth it! You can easily do it at home. I find warm wax is best with that kind of hair. As for legs, no, I don't think its worth it. In the summer, I shave my legs 1-2 times a week because I don't need them smooth and they are not sensitive to shaving. I had my legs waxed once and it was a waste of money since you have to wait a long time for them to get to the proper length and all hair grows at different intervals so I had to shave anyway, just maybe once every 2 weeks. Maybe if you let your leg hair grow all winter long it would work well but otherwise leg wax is not worth it.

Ive never done a bikini wax - that scares me - I usually year a swim bottom with a skirt or a shirt.. but I have waxed my legs a lot.. Im actually going tomorrow lol.

She charges me $30 for half leg and $50 for full leg - thats both of them.

Im hispanic and not only is my hair thick its dark. Over the time of waxing its gotten so thin Im shocked! My legs were hairier them my sons, and thats bad lol... I would have to shave daily and I hated it! Waxing lasts me 5-6 weeks. So I do it maybe twice for the summer and I am good. I get it done about 3 days before we would be leaving for a trip. You shouldnt expose your legs to the sun after waxing.

I have my bikini done every 4 weeks as well. In addition to the other responses, be sure not to go within 3 or 4 days on with side of your period, as you can be a bit more sensitive. I love not having to worry about it. My hubby loves it too. ;)

I have had my legs waxed and I loved it. For me it lasts about 4-5 weeks and it was worth it. I Waxed my bikini ares once with a home kit, really hard to do yourself, but we were going to a water park and didn't want to shave while there. Tht lasted about 4 weeks, while I would have it done again I wouldn't do it myself.
