Hi, I'm looking for something to do over the winter with my 2 year old - has anyone been to Grizzly jacks or Keylime Cove? We'd be grateful for any advice or ideas.

Thanks!
K.

Grizzly Jacks is awesome. We actually know the owner, so we have been there several times. It is very well kept, the people are great and they do all they can to make sure you have a good time. There is a great little pool and a family slide that goes into shallow water. Both my kids had a blast last time. I would suggest going during the week if you can. The weekends are super busy. We have never stayed in the hotel, but the cabin are beautiful. And they have a full kitchen, so bring food to cook, so you don't have to eat out. The amusement park has several rides for little ones. My 3 year old loved it. Good luck and have fun! We will be there again after Christmas.

In August of this year we took my 6-week old, 2.5 year old, and 4 year old to Key Lime Cove. We were extremely pleased. The place was VERY clean, they had very good life jackets for the kids (free and they had the head support), and everyone was let-me go-out-of-my-way friendly. My kids are not good swimmers so I was quite nervous taking them, and it ended up being so safe. They have lifequards I think every 15 ft? There is a section divided for the younger kids which I liked. It is very family friendly. We are planning on going back soon. It was worth the money.

We've been to Grizzly Jacks twice. Once with just DD and then this summer with DD and the twins. Both times were a blast! The first time we stayed in one of the hotel rooms attached to the water park. The second we rented a cabin and went with a slew of relatives. Everyone had a good time. There's also an indoor amusement park that comes with staying at Grizzly Jacks too. Just carnival rides but a nice break if it's freezing cold and you're feeling a little water logged. The restaurant is good. We hope to go back soon!

CoCo Key Water Resort in Arlington Heights in a great place for small children. It's not very big and not usually crowded. They have a website you could check out.
