If there's no fever I'd wait till tomorrow morning, but keep an eye on him tonight.
My 3 month old is *finally* getting over the cold she's had for the past month. Just stuffiness, but no fever. Hope your lil' guy feels better soon :o)
my 3 month old has slight cold symptoms. he has a little runny nose and a cough here and there. he wakes up cranky and didnt eat too well today. He snores when he sleeps but hasnt had any fevers. he chokes sometimes like its on his saliva. should i wait to take him to the docs tomorrow or go to the er now?
I am going to wait until tomorrow because he is sleeping now. thank you for you guys advice. i have a 3 1/2 year old but he was a preemie at 25 weeks and stayed in hosp until he was 2 1/2 months old. he has had his ups and downs with o2 and everything ..... but its different than having a term baby that gets a cold...... he doesnt seem like he is that sick but has a small cold. i jjst dont want to wait until he gets worse, and plus everyone here is sick. my oldest is on mucinex and a albuterol... his dad had asthma and is the only one not sick. I feel like i have the flu and strep throat... and my mom in law stays with us to help with kids... but shes sick now.. lol... feels like shit. i am spraying lysol and wiping everything down constantly..lol try n to keep germs to a minimum.
thanks and i will keep u posted and tell u guys what happens tomorrow.
HE WAS TEETHING AND IS READY TO EAT HIS FIRST BABY FOODS!

Wait until tomorrow since there's no fever. You can try saline nose drops. That will help break down the mucus and help him sleep. I also run a cool mist humidifier when my boys have cold symptoms.
i wouldn't worry too much since he hasn't had any fevers. If you find him "choking on saliva" go in the bathroom with twith him and close the door and run the shower hot. Don't go in the shower with him, but sit in the steamy room with him it will help clear up any congestion he has. If it continues to concern you call the peditrictian's office and speak to a nurse. Generally if your child is typically healthy, they will say to wait it out and the cold will run its course. A fever is different, that is a sign of an infection and you should make an appointment to see the doctor. I don't think it's anything that warrants going to the ER tonight.
I have 2 kids. My 2yr old had RSV at that age. She was much worse than that. I'd say wait. Dr 2mrw. Good luck
Unless he is running a high fever then wait until tommorow to take him to the doctor. In the meanwhile, use a syringe to help get rid of the mucus in his nose and give him a warm bath to help his congestion.
Look at his little face and decide how sick he looks (he doesn't sound sick enough for the ER to me). I can usually tell by my kids' eyes; do they look hollow and blank? I think glassy eyes are the key that they are really sick. My 3 month old had a bad cold that lasted for about a month, but he never got that sick; but I still felt bad for the little guy. Trust your intuition...
