Not to worry, my daughter and son did not walk completely on their own until there were 15 months old. :)
hI MY Y. IS 1 YEAR OLD NOW AND SHE HAS NOT STARTED WALKING INDIVIDUALLY.SHE WALKS BT WITH SUPPORT NOT HERSELF.WHAT TO DO......................?
Not to worry, my daughter and son did not walk completely on their own until there were 15 months old. :)
Be patient and don't worry unless she has not started walking at 15 months. If she is walking with support, she is doing fine.
Sounds like she is right on track. Enjoy her. Continue to hold her hand. She will get there.
Just keep walking with her, letting her hold your hands. My oldest walked at 14 months, my middle child at 9 months and my youngest at almost 11 months. Don't worry, all babies are different. She'll just take off one day when you least expect it.
Perfectly normal. Give her time. She will walk when she is ready.
My twin daughters both walked "late" -- 16 months and 17 months. The pediatrician said it's genetic and asked if either my husband or I had been a late walker. We asked our parents, and my mom told us I didn't walk until around 16 months either. I'm fine, and my daughters (now 4) are too! So try not to worry about it!!
she isn't behind yet......my first didn't walk until she was 14 months and when I expressed concern at her 1 year well baby check up the doctor told me that anything up to about 16 months is within the normal range for walking.....I thought that was old as most of the babies I knew before that walked by about 10 months but after that I was suprised at how many people I came across (at her classes or the park etc.) whose kids didn't walk until after a year........don't rush it babies walk whn they are ready, enjoy this time before long you are going to be wondering why you wanted her to walk in the first place
Not unusual. Walking isn't a skill that you can teach or help her with, it's a developmental milestone. There's no benefit to her walking at 12 months vs 15. Some babies walk by a year. My mother said I didn't til 16 months, and my 1 1/2 year old grandniece did not walk til 15 months, she is perfectly normal in every way!
Just wait, she'll get there. There is a wide range for developmental milestones. She may not be ready to let go because she's nervous. Try holding onto a clothespin and have her hold the other end, kind of like holdinf your finger. Eventually you let go of the clothespin and she may just keep walking, thinking she is still holding your hand. If she hasn't walked by 2, you can look into getting her birth to three services, but my guess is she will be fine.
Not sure what the question is, it takes them time to build up the confidence to walk on their own. They usually spend a good 2-4 months "cruising," i.e. using the walls, mom's legs, anything, to walk. Once they start taking steps on their own, it then can take anywhere from 1 week to 3 months for them to truly take off on their own.
Don't rush it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing. Just give her practice, that's all. Most 1 year olds do not walk yet!
She sounds totoally on track. Stop worrying. My oldest walked independently at 13 months, but I know many kids who did not until a little later. As long as she is progressing through the developmental staps and not stagnating, she is fine.
There is only one thing you can do......wait till she's ready to walk. It's not unusual for a 1 year old to not be walking yet. My son was 14 months old before he took his first steps. I wouldn't worry about it. Just be ready for the day she takes off on her own. From that day forward you will not be able to keep up with her! LOL
my daughter didn't start walking until she was 14 months. why are you stressing over this? what you need to do is relax and stop listening to what other people tell you your kid should be doing at this age. every child is different.
Sounds totally normal to me.
It took both my first and second 13 months, my 3rd 18 months, my 4th 11 months. She'll get there.
