If you have a Vitamix blender what do you think of it. Do you use it regularly? Are you glad that you bought it. Any advice for using it.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I bought one from Costco and already love it. I'm glad to hear others love it too. I was a bit concerned about the cost and afraid I'd not follow thru with using it. My granddaughter and I've made many smoothies.Made up a few combinations for ourselves. I've discovered that veggie smoothies taste better when I include some fruit. I'm expecting to get more veggies into my diet. I'm looking forward to winter and soups. The recipe book says I can mix and knead bread. Leah, it's easy to clean. Learned this at the demo. Just put in a cup or so of water and a drop of detergent. Turn it on for a few seconds. Pour the mess out and rinse. All clean. Works every time for me.

We have one - I rarely use it anymore but when my kids were babies I used it nearly everyday to blend up their food. Sometimes I'd follow the recipe book for veggies or meat - sometimes I'd just blend up whatever we were eating for dinner. My husband used it more for smoothies with veggies added but no matter what you add I could never get over the terrible kale flavor he liked to add. It's a great blender but now it's starting to collect dust.

I have a Torpedo Multipurpose Appliance. It is great and I use it at least once per day. It costs $199 and will do everything the Vitamix does. But it only has a 2 year warranty.

I have one and I unfortunately rarely use it. I want to start again though. They are expensive, but the couple of times I've used it they were the best.

I LOVE my vitamix. I bought it for making smoothies, but I use it for everything. It purees better and faster than a food processor for soups and things and makes ice cream (just add ice to your smoothie and blend longer). Now that I am on a gluten free diet, I use the dry canister to grind my own grains. I have also heard that you can make powdered sugar from table sugar in a pinch. It's the best appliance I've ever bought!

Is it possible to be in love with a kitchen appliance? YES! never thought I would say this about a blender, but it it awesome! The warranty is great (7 years). I would recommend going with a refurbished model. They have the same warranty and you will save between $70-100.
I use it every morning for my smoothie, I "cook" my soups in it (it runs so hot that in 6 mins on high, soup comes out piping hot, ready for the bowls). I like to cook soup this way, because it get steaming hot to eat, but doesn't sit on a stove forever and cook all the nutrients out.
I make fresh salad dressings (all the chemicals in salad dressings in the bottle out there scare me :-).)
But, my kids favorite is the sorbet. I use fresh REAL milk, frozen fruit, vanilla and Stevia and we have homemade icecream in minutes!
you'll be glad you got it!

My dad has one and he uses it everyday. He makes smoothie from frozen fruit and it grinds the frozen chunks completely smooth every time! We also make soup and ice cream with it. He has had his ten + years now and it is starting to have a few issues, but we could not live without it.

I would also suggest a refurbished one.

My husband came equipped with one. He always used it. For me it sits on a high shelf. I never want to clean it after use.
