A.S.
Oh I can empathize . . . I wrote a LONG (and - I thought - quite good LOL) response to the student loan bubble question and lost the entire thing.
Sigh.
2x now I began writing, seeking advice, and I hit the wrong button on the laptop and it takes me back a screen and I loose everything I wrote. I give up. I guess it wasn't meant to be aired here. :(
Well at least I don't feel like an idiot now. Thx for responding and sharing your stories with me ladies. ;0)

OMG - YES!!!! That has happened to me twice TODAY while posting replies..... and I wanted to throw my laptop across the office.
I had to make up a story about getting frustrating news from a client to cover up my "g*d damnit" explative that slipped out!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had that happen on my pc. And I have had emails send when I was not done typing. Luckily I was typing a personal email when I meant to say "well your main association with". I am sure you can figure out where I was in the word association when something I hit sent the email.
This happens if you click outside of the 'frame' that you're responding in, or asking the question in, and hit "Backspace". In some web sites, hitting Backspace is like hitting your browser back button. Unfortunately, mamapedia doesn't save your drafted response, so if you hit your browser forward button, it creates a fresh page.
Really frustrating, but hopefully, knowing what causes it will make it easier to avoid. Make sure you're clicked into the spot to enter your question before hitting Backspace!
This has happened to me a bunch of times and i have no idea what button I am hitting when this happens. I have a mac, not sure if that is the problem. I have now learned to copy my work (control C) as I am typing. I do this if I especially have a long response. Then if I lose it, I try again and just paste (control V). Totally with you girl! SOOOOO frustrating.
