I need a low maintenance vacuum cleaner. I like the bagless ones but I am terrible at replacing filters. So bad in fact I am on my 3rd vacuum in 8 years. I am thinking about going back to a bag one. Do you have a vacuum that you love that you have to do very little to? Ideally I would just like to use it and dump the bag/dust bucket and not fool with filters. Mine has 3 filters!!! Might no be doable but thought I'd ask.

Love my Dyson. I've had it for 7 years and have never had to replace a filter. I had a bagless Hoover Windtunnel before my Dyson. My Dyson was more money up front but has saved me a ton in the long run because I haven't had to purchase any expensive HEPA filters to replace. Like MAMAD said, it is very low maintenance and the most we've had to do is get rid of the hair/strings that wrap around the rolling bar - but you would have that problem with any vacuum.

I was like you going through a vacuum about every couple of years. I recently asked about vacuums myself. We decided to purchase a Dyson, yes they are more expensive but they have a 5 year warranty too. So far we are very happy with it and we were lucky to find it on sales at Sears. Prior to though we did have a Bissell and we very happy with it until it decided to die on us:(
Good luck!

If you want a good one invest some money in a dyson. I have had mine for over six years..It is bagless and easy to clean out. It is low maintenance. Once in a blue moon you have to get rid of the hair or strings that wrap around the rolling bar. It is awesome and I could not live without it.

i got one that has a filter you can rinse off and wash. i've had it for about 6years. it's bagless, and everything comes apart so you can wash it. you can purchase replacement filters if you want, but i've only done it once since i've had mine. it's a Bissell Powerforce. it was pretty cheap, too.

I do not care for baglass. I love my Hoover windtunnel. You just take out the bag and throw it out. Its a very good performer also.
