A.M.
My Doctor, Sharon Dennis,DO in Arlington offered this. I'm not sure if they still do because I read on Dr. Sears' website, www.askdrsears.com, recently that they were no longer being made seperately as of Jan. 2009.
Does anyone know how to get the MMR split up in Fort Worth? Or know of any doctors who are willing to do this? My doctor says he can only order the individual vaccines in bulk & does not have enough requests for this to order them. Is anybody else out there doing this? Thanks!

For what it's worth, my pediatrician told me a couple weeks ago that the manufacturers no longer produce the separate vaccines. :(
You may want to try Fort Worth Pediatrics. ###-###-####
We began the process of the separate vaccines, but have come across a big problem. We had the measles vaccine in December (12 months) and when it was time to do the mumps in March, we were informed it was no longer being made. Just that week the doctor's office had tried to reorder and was informed it was not going to be available in the future. My doctor's office still had isolated rubella, but I decided to wait, not wanting to double dose him on two of the three antigens involved if I ended up having to give him the combined MMR. I called several local health offices and other doctors' offices, but no one had the isolated mumps vaccine. After many conversations and research, we've decided to give him the combined MMR vaccine at about 24 months. This will give a longer time from the measles vaccine since he will essentially be receiving a double dose of it.
