My hubby and I are planning our 20th anniversary trip, does anyone have a favorite travel website to find great vacation deals? our original plan was to go to Paris but we are open to other options. We don't' feel we have to take our trip ON our anniversary, anytime this year is fine, so we are very flexible about the dates of travel.

vacationstogo gave us a huge room at the discounted price of less than half the travel agent. Plus they added freebies.
If you do Alaska, stay longer and do Denali park. Also, check on fishing before you book an excursion. We paid for salmon fishing and the local admitted they were upstream at that time.
travelzoo.com monitors travel deals on many websites and publishes a top 20 every week. I got a great deal on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago that way. I've seen all inclusive deals (air and hotel) to Paris and other European destinations lately.
If you are going to Paris, you can rent an apartment and be right in one of the neighborhoods. We used a company based in the US so there was no language problem, plus we paid in dollars.

Here is a company based in France but they speak English and were recommended by a former renter:
A cruise to Alaska in the summer time
My inlaws and parents have both been and had amazing trips.
I like travelocity myself for vacations. Hubby and I are going to Cancun in June for our 10 yr anniversary and after much research, travelocity had the best deals all the way, especially if you do a "last minute getaway". I have used them last minute too, booked that morning and flew out that afternoon and everything was perfect without a glitch. Good luck and happy anniversary!
I've been to Paris, Spain, and Italy. My favorite place (by far) was Spain. We stayed in Marabella and rented a car. Driving and navigating was pretty easy. We drove to several quaint little towns -- the best was Rhonda. We also visited the rock of Gibralter, which was fun. We were there for over a week and visited a different place every day. Seriously, the best vacation ever! I highly recommend it. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and didn't mind us trying our broken Spanish on them! Paris - was okay. It was beautiful, but the locals were not real nice to us. Italy, same thing - beautiful in parts, but be prepared to be ripped off by the locals. Several restaurants charged us more than they charged the locals.
