I had the ablasion done April 2007 and it took a month before the discharge stopped for me. I am period free since.I would give it a little more time. So happy I did it. T.
Hi Moms,
This is a little embarrasing but Im putting my question out there anyway- I had a uterine ablasion (Novasure) done 2 weeks ago today with no problems. but I'm still having very watery orange/red discharge. Its showing no signs of slowing down, only getting waterier. Is this normal? Anyone else have this? I had this done for extremely heavy periods and my biopsy revealed uterine polyps and very thick lining. I called my Gyn's office last week and just got a "yup your fine"- Im not so convinced- If anyone else can give me some feedback that would be great!

I haven't had this done (yet).. But two of my sisters have one is having very light periods just a bit of staing when she wipes for a couple days, The other her dr sent the lining she removed to be evaluated and came back as cancer..very early stage one. and she will get a hysterectomy this fall. She is taking provera to keep it under comtrol until then. We all have endometriosis so I will do one the other or both in the next few years... Good luck and take care.
I had a novasure done on February. I had that discharge for about 3 weeks, right up until my next period was due.
I had a little spotting w/the first period, but since then I can't even call it spotting because nothing even hits my underwear, just a little wipe up when I go to the rest room. I don't even need a panty liner.
(This is a miracle because I was always a heavy bleeder and in the past couple of years it had become debilitating, and finally just incredible. I couldn't leave the house some days for having to change every 10 minutes.)
It's COMPLETELY normal. Don't worry, you're fine! :) I had the same done almost 2 yrs ago. Havent had a period since. Expect to have discharge for a couple weeks. The more watery it looks means it should be healing & soon should stop. I never thought it would end. I'm so glad i did it. I still get pms effects though. Sometimes a discomfort rather than like cramps, moodiness around "that time". But...no period. Its great & i wish you success!! :)
I had it done in January and I still don't have consistent normal periods.. I get staining one month for 1 day, the next month, I get 3 days of it.. If you do too much at first, you will "bleed " more .. it takes months to level out.. so keep taking it easy and the watery stuff will stop. What you have is totally normal.
