Using Other People's Questions to Make Jabs

Just kidding I used to hate hearing that when I was in first grade. :)

I have no idea why. Sometimes I will address another answer but only when they are factually wrong. By factually wrong I mean something like saying up is down, you know something that is not opinion. I think it has happened twice since I have been on this board. Then again I also answer the question at the same time

Ya know one of these days I am going to read all the answers before I respond. As it is I didn't on this one...oops!

The ones that bother me the most are the nasty political rants. The questions are just guises for trying to poke fingers in eyes. It is really transparent and irritating.

I agree with Jo W. sometimes people post completely made up sh** as if it is fact and I cannot stand thinking others will read and believe it. but thats very rare. Like every town and city in the US has an orphanage full of babies just waiting to be adopted, hello??? No not in the US. See there I go taking your question to turn it into a jab to someone else.
OK now I feel bad, I was cranky. but sometimes we have trouble letting something go because it means So much to us. For instance Anyone who has dealt with infertility, failed adoptions, does not want to hear people who say how easy and affordable it is to adopt a healthy baby.

They say.... that when women are routinely in a room together over time... they eventually all have the same timing of their periods and PMS'ing.
Really, I have heard that.

I've noticed this. Perhaps we should ask the "jabbers" what they get when they indulge their ego at someone else's expense. Because obviously there is a payoff for them or while else would they do it? Its definitely annoying.

I think it's kind of funny that your point has already been proven within the first 2 answers to your question.

i get how people are saying you are doing the same thing. but it is not in the same way, you are just asking why people are doing it. IMO, people do it because they have nothing better to do with their lives, maybe they are just jealous of the other person or have some kind of inferiority(sp) complex. they should just say what they want to say to the person instead of trying to call them out like that. they are immature and havent really grown up from junior high.

I haven't seen this first hand, but what you are describing is unfortunate.
I think what makes this site so unique and great is that it is not set up like most forums where people can reply to other people's replies. So that keeps it focused on the original person's question and I think that is why this site is SO great for advice and support. Well unfortunately it sounds like people try to get around that by making jabs as you said in other people's questions.
