I would be cautious, but do your research.

I checked on FDA.gov, and they have submitted for registration, there are multiple documents listed via this link:
http://google2.fda.gov/search?q=USANA&x=0&y=0&amp...*

I couldn't find anything that showed you shouldn't use them, and they appear to be playing by the rules by working with the FDA. But, I'd want to check with your pediatrician first to make sure your kids should be receiving the amounts of vitamins listed on the label.

Our pediatrician still has both kids on 1/2 Flintstone vitamin/day.

Hi J.---Not sure about those specific vitamins, but I do know that vitamins do not work in the body the same way as whole food, and can actually cause harm as they contain only a few of the tens of thouands found in food.

A couple of questions you should ask. Does the company have any peer-reviewed, INDEPENDENT research on their product. Is it absorbed? Does it impact their immune system, protect and repair DNA? Artificial colors or flavors?

If you are looking for a food based supplement, made from 17 different fruits, veggies and grains, backed by numerous studies, I would like to share what it is my family does to insure our nutrition. In fact, my friends in the Chicago area are hosting a health education event in Lisle Friday night, at 7 pm. Dr. Jan Roberto will be talking about a "Prescription for Better Health". Send me an email at ____@____.com if you would like a flyer. I look forward to being of help. In health, D. ###-###-####

USANA is a great company with very high quality vitamins. My husband and I take the essential vitamins and the fish oil capsules. My 3 year old tried the Usanimal vitamins, but he hated the taste so much he refused to take them after a few days. I would just buy one bottle (if you can) for both of your kids for the month and try them out. They really are great vitamins. Hope your kids like them!

You do have to be careful with vitamins. So many have been proven to be only 10% soluble, meaning our bodies only receive 10% of the vitamin they are taking. There is a company I order from that is a wellness company, and they have products at wholesale pricing (w/membership). All of their vitamins and supplements have been proven to be up to 10 times more soluble than other vitamins. If you would like more information, email me at ____@____.com. I can connect you with the company.
