Yep, I'm with Upromise. Can't say we've made a TON of money on it and I don't make buying decisisions based on u promise, but we have earned some money on things we already buy.
Hello Mamas. Have any of you signed up with UPromise? Please let me know.
Thanks for your responses. I am going to look into it.

We signed up for Upromise 3 years ago when our Son was born. It is a great service to help aid you in saving for college. We've had no problems dealing with them, they were very helpful on the phone. We only have 1 family member on our friends and family list and had trouble getting them linked to our account and had to call customer service. It was a little confusing, they helped us.
I do shop and buy gas at Upromise providers, it makes a difference in where I shop and what I buy. We have about $400 and we moved part of that into a 529 account. I would recommend it, knowing that it is an aid in helping you save for college. I have found having a Upromise Credit Card really helps make the difference, you get more in savings that way. The more friends and family you have signed up, the more you get in savings.
I did, I'm just not very diligent with it. You sign all your credit cards up and your shopping cards from the grocery stores and the points/rewards accumulate. You can also shop on-line with their partners and get rewards that way. Then you open a 529 and it gets assigned to that account. You can also have your relatives sign up so that it applies to your child's account I've just never really pursued it.
I signed up about 5 years ago. It is very nice. Some of my kids teachers even signed up. I just drop them an email once in a while for contributing to his college fund. To me its a sign up and forget it process. You just register certain credit cards or your kroger plus card and whenever you use it, funds are added to the account. I also know that certain restaurants are listed so anytime you use your registered cards there funds are added. I think its wonderful. Its not an enourmous amount of money but its a nice amount to be able to contribute to the kids.
i signed up with UPROMISE several years ago and actually got a check for $40 when my daughter started college. You have to register all your credit cards and shopping reward cards for them to pick up your purchases. I did initially, but as the cards expire, you need to add them back. So right now I just get credit for particular items purchased using my CVS loyalty reward card or one gas card. I have a friend that used their website for on line shopping and actually got quite a bit of money. I probably need to go back and reregister some of my cards to get the full value of the program.
Hello, Yes, I have. It does take work to just remember to go through their website when ordering through vendors that contribute towards your account. Let's just say I have accumulated $3.99 so far and been a member for two years. So, it takes a while and I probably don;t take advantage of all the opportunites, but I really don't make it a priority. I learned about Upromise with a former employer since we were a contributing vendor. It sounded like a great idea when I saw the presentation done, but you have to really stay on top of it to get the benefit. It doesn's cost anything so nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say!
