Hello,

With our first two I wore the hospital gown for my whole stays. (C-section and then a v-bac.) I am having a planned c-section this time and was wondering if Majamas pj's are worth the money??? I wanted something more comfortable and flattering to wear in the hospital since it will be a 3 day stay again. Not to mention that I wanted something that was nice to breastfeed in since we tend to have a lot of family visitors when there is a new baby.......

How do they run (fit wise)? When I look up sizing I'm right on the line for small/medium. Would you go with the small or go with the medium? I don't want my chest to be sticking out but I also don't want them to be too tight........ I'm only 5'2" as well so I'm hoping that they won't be too long either. I'm looking at purchasing a pair of capri ones and a pair of long pants ones.

Any help/info you could give me on this product would be great! THANKS!

PS> You can get them new on ebay for $38 a pair.........

And from the majamas website the info I gather is that for the pajamas you just pull the material down. No little hole to nurse through..... (IS that right?????)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks Moms!

I DID order 3 pairs of Majamas Pajamas and they are GREAT! I ordered 2 pants and 1 capri pair. I ordered 2 mediums and 1 small and they all fit! I did order a black set and 2 sets that are mostly black with a slight design as well. They are so comfy and CUTE! And will be so easy to nurse in! They just pull down BUT there is a spot to put nursing pads so you don't have to wear a bra to bed! (Very much looking forward to that!)

I purchased them from Diapers.com because they were on sale AND if you give a referral code YOU GET AN ADDITIONAL 15% OFF! So I saved even more money! If you have never placed an order with them you can get the special of 15% off you ENTIRE order! Just enter referral code: FRID5486 And I received them in 24 hours! So happy with my purchase.

Thanks for the help moms!

I am biased because the Majamas store is in my neighborhood and the woman who owns is a local mom who breastfed :) BUT they are expensive and you will probably bleed quite a bit. I brought a black pair of sweats to the hospital so that if they stained they wouldn't show so if you go with them, buy black. Her stuff is super comfortable and wears and washes really well and I still wear a few things that I bought while pregnant because I think that it still fits nicely even not pregnant. SHe's a great woman and mom if that makes you feel better about spending $40 on pajama pants :)

I haven't tried them, but I just googled them and it seems that you can find a set of pj's for cheater with tops similar to that. What I did is I went to a thrift store and bought those since I wouldn't care if they got stained.

I had looked into them for my last pregnancy, but I can't imagine spending so much money on something that has a high liklihood of getting blood all over it.

They fit well and allowed room for the left over tummy that you have after having the kiddo. I do remember struggling with BF because it was winter and mine had sleeves, so it felt like I was trying to pull the boob through a poncho arm hole. I didn't wear them long and stumbled across the pants the other day not realizing it was them. I put them on to crawl into bed and they fit everywhere but the butt was unusually big. And then it hit me!

I just wore T-shirts and PJ bottoms that were stretchy that I got for 12 dollars at Target. I would not spend the money with the chances of blood and not fitting well. The people who visit you get the idea that you just gave birth so don't worry about them, worry about your comfort.

With my first I was not prepared for a hospital stay so I wore the hospital gown and felt gross the whole time. With our second, I packed my own clothes. I have breastfed both kids and just wore tank tops, yoga/sweat pants, etc. I am not a big fan of the special pajamas- but that was me. The holes were never where I wanted them, and I find it wierd to try to nurse through fabric. I just like the good ole skin to skin closeness!

I just looked up what these were and could not believe the price. I went to Motherhood Maternity and bought a pair of nursing pj there for $30 or $40 and they were comfortable and worked well for bf when I had my daughter.

Why not just wear some cute, comfy black yoga pants from Wal-mart or Target and a sweatshirt or T-Shirt? I've had 2 babies and both times I was in the hospital for 3 days. Both times I wore sweat pants, sweat shirts, yoga pants, and T-shirts. Never gave a thought as to what I would wear or what people would see me in. But I knew one thing for sure - I wasn't gonna sit around in a hospital gown!!!
