If you are doing disney parks, MGM Studios would be best. But IF you want a place with more rides one of the Universal parks would be better.
Ok, one more question. If we were to get a one day Disney ticket, which park would be the best? We have 4 teenage boys so which would be the most fun for them and can we get through it in one day?
Thanks for all the responses! We ended up getting a 2 day hopper and made it to all parks. It was not as fun as we expected but we are glad we finally get to say we have been to Disney. We had already experienced Universal and it definately was alot more fun. There were a few rides my boys enjoyed and a few shows but for the most part they could have done without Disney and been at the beach everyday. We also did Kennedy Space center which they also thought was boring but again it is an experience they now have under their belt. Our best days were visiting all the different beaches and watching the space shuttle. I am sad we did not do Disney when they were younger because it could have been a great experience for them. Thanks again!

I would say MGM. But you can look online to see what they might like better. Have them look with you and see which one would interest them.
For those ages, you'd probably do best with Epcot or MGM. Epcot has a lot of older scientific type attractions. I went when I was 18 with my family and Epcot was definitely the best for me. Have you thought about splitting up? Your two oldest would be fine going by themselves and then you and your husband could split up with the other two, unless you just want to spend the day together. My mom and dad went with my 9 year old sister and I did my own thing. It was better for me since I could go at my own pace. Have a great trip!
Reading the other responses you will see the standard theme of answers already but I'll give my 2 cents for fun. I agree if your kids are thrill seekers WDW will be boring in general never done Universal Studios to know if it is more fun. One day is tough to accomplish much but go for it. I say MGM tower of terror and the aerosmith roller coaster are the two best rides in the park. The hopper addition is nice if you want to hit just the best rides in each park. Epcot was snoring boring to me. I agree with the person that said stay at WDW you will get extra time in the morning and evening at certain parks. Look at the schedule for the day you plan to go and chose the park from what opens earlier or closes later for you and if you get the hoppper make your plan of attack based on taking advantage of that. Get the maps and pick the rides that are important get the fast passes and you should be good. Having a plan of which rides in what order but being flexible should help you a lot. Above all have fun!
I would say MGM most definately. They have the most rides.Alot of the other parks are things to see and shows. We enjoyed them all but my kids are younger.
hey M., have you gone to disney.com/affordable? they have been advertising alot on commercials, you might try it and see what you can find. talk to you later, R.
Definitely Magic Kingdom
I would say the easiest and most entertaining park would be MGM studios. They have the Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror that are a lot of fun.
When we went a couple of years ago, we definately had strong feelings about the parks.
Our favorite was MGM. They were having a Star Wars theme that week and my brother is a huge Star Wars fan, so we enjoyed that. Plus, I think that while they only have a few major coasters, they are the best two in the park.
Our second favorite was Animal Kingdom. Lots to see and learn. Don't really remember much about the rides though. However, the Bug's Life 3-D movie was wonderful.
Magic Kingdom was full of small children. Tons of strollers and really, in my opinion, geared toward smaller Disney fans. I think it would drive your four boys crazy!
Epcot was the biggest disappointment for us. We were hoping for all sorts of futuristic development and advances. None were to be seen. They did have some cool things about what is being done now, but unless your kids are really into educational stuff, I would say skip it.
Have you thought about getting a 1 day park hopper pass? I don't think it cost that much more to add the park hopping option.
Probably Epcot or MGM......Magic Kingdom is great, but better for smaller kids b/c it has all the movie characters and stuff. Epcot & MGM would be directed toward an older audience, like teenagers. Epcot is "countries around the world" and some really fun rides and MGM is all about the Movies and of course rides(movies in general, not just disney cartoon).
I think that MGM would be the best choice. They have a lot of ride themed after movies (Star Wars) and some roller coasters. The Magic Kingdom would NOT be a good choice at all... too many princesses and cartoon characters for boys to have any fun. Epcot might be okay because the restaurants and attractions at each "country" are exciting. Epcot is a lot of walking though so keep that in mind. Hope this helps!!! I hope you have as much fun as I did!
I suppose it depends on what your boys are into, butI would say either Epcot or MGM. Epcot is huge and definitely a full day. It has tons of interesting, educational-type things to see and do. It is by far my favorite of the 4. MGM is also good and has some cool rides that I imagine teenagers would enjoy. I love the Magic Kingdom, but it might not be the best for teenage boys as it is more geared to little kids. I hated the Animal Kingdom, but that was when it was brand new and they might have added to it.
Universal Studios... Islands of Adventure...
I would not go to Disney with older kids.. they are going to be bored.. (I think that Universal/ Islands of Adventure is a bit cheaper and get a Park hopper pass... (look online for specials or go to the Universal Web site..
