I know its too late now, but the Doc's office... 'should' have given you an amount/estimate... before it was done.
I would call the Doc's office and ask them.... ?
We recently got my son tested for food allergies. The doctors office did a simple blood draw. I am wondering what others have paid for this kind of lab work? I am guessing around $300. We will have to pay out of pocket so I would love a good guess.
Thanks

W can't give you a reasonable answer. You need to ask the dr, find out what codes were used then inquire with your insurance company.
In July, I had a very thorough blood test and it was $4152 out of network and I paid nothing. I was shocked!
Since then, I've had 3 other blood draws and ended up paying about $100 on each from my personal pocket.
Like I said, we have no clue. You have to ask your dr and insurance company for specifics so you know.
Best wishes!!
My husband had an allergy test panel done today, and it was $1600, but a little more elaborate than the one you are speaking of.
is it out of pocket because you don't have insurance? If so you should ask for a discounted price . They usually do that because the prices are inflated and insurance negotiates a lower rate . Call and speak to the person who handle insurance . If she can't give you a lower rate ask her to ask the doctor . Good luck :)
It'll b closer to 1000 I bet
My son's was about $1200 but insurance covered ours. It was a simple blood draw, but it tested for dozens of things and we found out everything he is allergic to, indoors and outdoors.
Do you have insurance? Does it have discounted rates for providers who are in their network? If so then everything is subject to contracted rates which the provider's office should be able to give you.
So hard to say...did you have it done at a lab like Quest or another large chain that may have late customer service hours? They may be able to tell you what the billing rate for your insurance company is.
I can tell you that "prick test" that my son had done for environmental allergies was almost $1000 - was very glad that I had an HMO and not my high-deductible insurance back then.
I just got a bill for blood work that covered the peanut family and ragweed family. It was 800.
My husband had allergy tests which cost nothing. But we don't live in the USA, and our taxes paid for it.
