It's much easier with both on the sides, trust me! I have two year old twins and expecting another set in April. When you travel, sitting in the middle allows you to feed both babies and tend to their needs easier. Plus, as they get older they will be used to sitting apart so when they are able to squabble it won't be as bad a sitting next to each other.

As it was explained to me, the sides of the back seat are not bad seat positions, the middle is just the ideal. Once you have more than one kid, the seats have to go on the sides - you couldn't out two infant seats right next to each other if you wanted to! Being a mom is all about doing the best you can, not being pperfect and ideal at all times. Your babies will be fine in the side posiyions, you can sit in the middle and be lose to both - everybody wins (except your hubby left all alone in the front!)

How will you pick which one to NOT put in the middle? Sophie's Choice. I'd put them each on the sides and sit in the middle.

I had one in the middle and one behind the passenger seat-that way I could look back and see them when I was the one driving.

When I had the twins, we had one on either side while I sat in the middle. Once I had my singleton, I had to put the baby right behind the driver's seat, one twin went in a front facing seat in the front passenger seat and the other twin directly behind him in another front facing seat. As mother's we do the best we can with what we are given. I was given twins and then a singleton and a Honda Civic. :) Hope you get your seating chart figured out and have a safe, healthy delivery!

I had twins and one would be on left, other on right. If anybody else sat in back, they would be in middle.

I had twins after a singleton. The easiest thing to do is to have one on each side of the car. That way you don't have to climb over anyone to get them into/out of the vehicle. On the way home, you can sit between them. That way they both get attention.

Our twins are on the sides. I sit in between them when needed. I'm not even sure if our car seats would work right next to each other (outside and middle). There's not much room in between them for me to sit - even in a tahoe. Putting them on the sides is not the end of the world - especially if you have no choice.

I put one on each side of the car. When we left the hospital, I just sat in the front seat....but it only took 30 seconds to get home from the hospital :-)

I've read the other responses. I also have two car seats, and have one on each side.
