Hello,
My husband and I have a 2 year old son, a 1 year old daughter, and as crazy as it sounds, we are expecting twins this May! A pleasant shock to us both! My question is about finding resources for savings on baby formula, cribs, etc. for twins. Does anyone know of web site or business that offers deals for such items?
Thank you for your time,
W.!

I don't have much to add beyond what Lisa T. has already suggested, but I know that I'm always happy to cut coupons for my friends with little ones for diapers, wipes, formula, etc. so I'm sure your friends/family will gladly do the same.
Also, for grocery budget stretching you could check out
www.angelfoodministries.com
as well as
www.couponmom.com.
Coupon mom is free, easy to join and you can check the sale percentages at your local grocery store and use your coupons to get the fullest amount discount when the items are on a very good sale. They also provide the info for Rite Aid, Target and CVS (I think). It's really easy to use. Just your email info to log in.
I, too, will keep your husband, you and your little ones in my prayers. Thanks to all of you for the service to this country.

There are twins groups around, too, there is one in the North Hills area that runs children's sales once a year, specializing in selling two of everything! Internet is a great resource. The spring has lots of garage sales, consignment sales, etc. look in Pennysaver and craigslist for ads.

Wow!! You sound like you have things all under control. I am very impressed with that. My husband was on active duty for 8 years got out and is in the reserves now. Deployments were always so hectic. Make sure that you are getting as many benefits from the Soldiers and Sailors relief act that you can. This Act enables Soldiers to get interest rates lowered on credit cards, loans and even mortgages. As for discounts on cribs I would look on Overstock, the Aafes catalog and also local consignment shops. Best of luck with the deployment I hope all goes well for you.

Congratulations on your twins! Unfortunately, I don't know of any companies that offer deals for twins. The only sugestions I can make are to:

- sign up on websites for coupons (such as Pampers, Similac, Gerber, etc) contact their customer services area and ask if they make special considerations for twins

- see if your local grocery or drug store has a baby club in which they offer coupons and specials for baby necessities (I'm pretty sure Giant Eagle does). Again ask if they make special considerations for twins.

- check freecycle and craigslist for cheap or free items

- sign up at snugglebugsconsignment.com for info on their upcoming sales event (usually in March). I think it is a wonderful sale - lots of items in good condition, early bird privileges for expectant moms, half-price items at the end of the sale

- if you live in the south hills, The Has Bin consignment shop has a coupon for $5 off $25. Here is the link. http://www.geocities.com/hasbinshop/coupon.html I see that the expiration date has passed, but it wouldn't hurt to call and see if they will accept it. They have offered it for at least 6 months so I am thinking maybe they are still going to offer the coupon but just haven't changed the expiration date yet.

- If you shop with coupons I'd be happy to send you ones I've cut out for baby products. If you are interested just send me a message with your address and I'll mail them to you.

I will keep you, your little ones and your husband in my prayers.

We also have twins and I found that Diapers.com has the best prices (better than Walmart) because you're buying in bulk sizes and free shipping in two days if you spend more than $49. Great service too.
