A marshmallow gun would be perfect for this. We have several Nerf guns and non of them are as accurate as the marshmallow guns. Get the ones that shoot the large marshmallows instead of the minis.
Hi! My son is turning 7 and we are having his birthday party next month. He is crazy about star wars. We want to have a game where we have pictures (like on cardboard cutouts) of star wars villians as targets and the boys shoot nerf darts at the targets to "get the bad guys". Can people please tell me what's the best nerf dart gun for this type target practice for 7 year old boys? Many thanks!

THANK YOU so much for allyour answers!!! Great idea about the Marshmallow shooters! I 'm definitely going to do this! I do have a couple more questions about doing this game and would be so grateful for more advice. My questions are: There will be at least 12 boys there. My question is: Is it better to do this in teams (two teams with 6 kids each or three teams with 4 kids each and have kids from each team come forward at the same time (with one blaster per team) to shoot at targets at the same timeOR have just one blaster and all the kids have to wait their turn? Is it better to just let kids do this without teams and not as a tournament, just having fun shooting at targets? My ex husband (son's dad) who I am planning and giving party with is of no help and his ideas are very vague. He is also really cheap and won't contribute hardly any money for anything and also wont help with ideas so I need help with planning so that the party is sucessful. I also don't have much money so need it to be inexpensive but also want it to be fun. He thinks there should be just ONE blaster for all 12 kids to use and that they should all just wait their turns. What do you guys think. Seems like this is a long time to wait for a turn kids having to wait for at least 11 other kids to go before them. Any suggestions about how to make this a fun activity that does not cost too much (We do not want to make blasters ourselves) and suggestions in how to do this type of activity please. Is it better as a game with teams and some sort of point system each time kids hit a target or is it better to just let them shoot at the targets without keeping track of points and without having one kid or one team win? Advice is really appreciated. Thanks so much!

I personally don't like the nerf guns because no matter how many times I tell my boys to be careful they accidentally end up getting hurt. One time my younger boy shot me in the eye. I would especially be careful having it for a bday party.
How fun!! Totally agree with the marshmallow gun. Your kids will LOVE them!
