Hello,
My two little girls (ages 5 and 7)brush their teeth (or I brush their teeth) twice a day every day. They had been using Oral B kid's character toothpaste like Little Einstein's or Winnie the Pooh. The problem is that Oral B keeps changing the characters on the tube and along with that, they change the flavor of the toothpaste. Soooo, I thought it would just be easier to find a good tasting toothpaste that has been around for a while. The dentist said it would be OK for them to use full strength since neither one swallow the toothpaste. My hubby and I use Colegate regular, but that is not tasty to them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I use Colgate now, but all throughout my childhood I would only use Crest for Kids with the sparkles... I loved that stuff as a kid.
My son is 4 and he uses Aquafresh for kids. He does really well with it. He has never complained about the flavor or said that it is hot for his mouth.
Hope that is helpful. Good Luck
My kids (3 and 5) are very picky about toothpaste and we've found one that they both love...Aquafresh Toothpaste for Kids. Mine refer to it as the 'rainbow toothpaste' because it has 3 colors of paste/gel. I believe the flavor is bubblemint. It's been around forever so you can count on it. Good luck!
My son uses Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry and he likes it a lot. Here's a link to see more about it: http://www.tomsofmaine.com/toms/product.asp?dept%5Fid=300...
Tom's products are natural care, not chemically sweetened, and cruelty free. I use the Peppermint Natural Antiplaque Tartar Control & Whitening Toothpaste. We love their products!
I have a set of 5 (going on 6) year old twins. I have bought them the children's Colgate which comes in strawberry and watermelon or the children's Crest which sparkles (this comes in a tube). They love either one of those.
Good luck!
my niece is soooo particular, about toothpaste, too! lol we have found that the lemon ice flavor works well for her. (it about made me yack!)
maybe a good idea would be to get a few different sample size?
good luck....meg
Have you tried the colgate kid's watermelon one? This is the one we use for our son. We can only seem to find it at Target for some strange reason.
Good luck,
D.
We use the Colgate kids' toothpaste with Sponge Bob on the container. Both of my boys like it. I think it is bubble gum flavored.
My two youngest boys (ages 3 and 5) love the Crest for kids. It tastes like bubble gum, it looks sparkly, it comes in a tube or a harder stand up container that will withstand them playing with it, and best of all it's Crest. When I told their dentist that is what they use he was very happy with the choice.
I went through the same thing........they wanted the "characters on the toothpaste, but then didn't like the taste. They absoulity LOVE the Aquafresh. It's the red/white/blue striped paste. I called it rainbow the first time they used it, they thoguht it was cool!
I just buy my son Kids Aquafresh at Wal-Mart. It's the cheapest, and he likes the bubblemint flavor! = )
My kids are very picky as well, everything is "too spicy". The only toothpaste I have found that they like is the Kids Colgate 2 in 1 Toothpaste & Mouthwash Watermelon Flavor. I usually find it at Target or CVS but it could be other places. Its a green bottle with a picture of a watermelon character on it. Now that I have found the toothpaste they like if only I could get them to brush their teeth appropriately I would be in business! Best of Luck--J. C
I just want to let you know to be careful, a lot of the "fun" flavored toothpaste have sugars in them. We use Koala Pals berrylicious w/ floride, there is also a 2 mint flavors and a cinnamon. These are not available in local stores, if you like any info on these feel free to drop me an email ____@____.com
Hi there!
I use Crest for kids with sparkles. My son loves the sparkles and thinks that he is a big boy because he uses the same kind that mom and dad use.
Hope this helps.
My daughter likes the Kids Crest and I think it has been around for a while. Doesn't have any fun characters on it though. We have also gotten a travel size of the Kids Crest, so you could try that out first maybe. Good luck!
I would go to the store and get some trial sizes of different toothpastes. Let your kids decide which one they like and then buy the full-size version of it.
My kids like Colgate-just Colgate
Hi,
I buy Crest Kids Toothpaste for my children. It has a berry taste that they like.
Crest has a toothpaste for kids that my son loves. It comes in a plain tube that hasn't changed in years. I think that it is called Kids Sparkle Crest or something like that. It comes in a "grown-up" tube with no characters on it and it is bubble gum flavored. Good luck and congrats on teaching your little ones great oral hygiene!
Chris
Also wanted to add - make sure that whatever paste you use for them has the ADA (American Dental Association) seal of approval on it. Many on the market do not.
Just go look. There are tons out there for kids with every character under the sun, and in kid friendly flavors - my daughter uses barbie bubblegum flavor.
we use the aquafresh for kids too - NO cartoon characters! and it's been around since my little brothers were little, so i figure it isn't going anywhere. tastes nasty to me but my son thinks it's great (you should have seen his face when i spaced out and put ours on his toothbrush once...lol!)
my family uses a natural type of toothpaste. I'm a customer with this company go to the website and request for more info.
my 3 yo likes Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry
Try Tom's of Maine. They are a little milder than Colgate and have Spearmint, Peppermint and Cinnamint flavors.
My oldest is the PICKEST about toothpaste! I went through so many tubes, tried all the flavors, but the one she liked and the only one she will use is Kid's Crest, sparkle fun. (It has never changed in 8+ years.)
My kids (4 & 6) use the Crest kids toothpaste.(The kind you get from the dentist) Its blue and sparkly and they love it. Sometimes if they get bored with that I buy them Auqufresh for kids. They also have started using the Listerine for kids. They actully look forward to brushing their teeth now, which has made my life so much easier! Good luck in your search. E.
