Great question. I have no idea but can't wait to read what others say. Well other than you could go into meditation and call a male spirit in perhaps....
Ok, I know there's no proven way to pick a boy or girl when trying to get pregnant. My husband and I are going to try soon for our 4th child. We always wanted at least 4 so it's not that we keep trying for a boy. Anyway, we have 3 girls now and will be happy either way if the next one is a boy or a girl. However, it would be nice to have at least one boy. So I'm wondering if anyone out there has any "methods" or nutritional advice on maybe bettering your chances of having a boy? Thanks!

I can't remember the name of the book, but a relative of mine told me about it and the method it described. If your cycle is regular, it advises you to try to conceive on the day that you are ovulating (14th day for most), the day before, or the day after if you want a boy. I think that it said that the day of ovulation is the best. The reasoning behind this strategy is that the boys are stronger swimmers than the girls, but they don't last for very long. So, if you conceive on your day of ovulation, it is likely that a boy will reach your egg first. The same goes for trying to have a girl. Supposedly, if you try to conceive a few days before you ovulate, only the girls will be left because while they are weaker swimmers, they have more endurance. Good luck and may God bless your family again either way!
I'll tell you what my mom kept telling me and my husband.... "GO DEEP." Other than that I don't really know. I am preg. now and hoping it's a boy. Good Luck!
Hi S.,
I have three sons, my mother had three daughters, my hubby's mother had 4 daughters and 5 sons. I don't think that there is any way to insure a boy or girl, I believe the sex of the baby is determined by the father. Here is a link that I found:

This link has different methods and theories:

If you can't click the link, copy and paste into the address bar.
I believe that God gives you what you're supposed to have, so I know that you will be happy either way.
S.,try having your bottom up on pillows. It puts your pelvis area at more of an incline. It worked for us. Good Luck!!!
I know this is in no way proven, but happens to be true for a lot of women in my family. I've heard that if you eat breakfast regularly you will concieve boys & if you usually skip breakfast you have girls. It's suppose to have something to do with how it effects the enzymes in your uterus that make the uterus less hospitable for the male "swimmers" if you don't eat breakfast regularly. Either way, it can't hurt to eat a good breakfast & who knows, may help you get a boy. Good luck!
The best bet would be to know when you ovulate, and have sex on that day and the day after. The egg is only viable for 1 day after ovulation, so you don't want to wait too long after ovulation to try for your boy. There is a fertility planner and tracker at www.fertilityfriend.com (which I've actually used for NFP), and it seems like the VIP membership also has gender prediction/conception tools, but I may be wrong about that. Good luck.
The wonderful book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler has a section on how to try for one sex or the other. You may have to read more of the book than just that section in order to understand that part though . . . the book is all about natural family planning.
I have an old wive's tale that worked for my sister and brother-in-law. Have your husband eat lots of green veggies and avoid sweets. Like is said it is a wive's tale so I don't know how much merit it holds, but my nephew will be 11 in December.
A little about me:
SAHM of two handsome adopted boys a 10 year old and 5 year old that keep me very busy. Married to my knight in shinning armor for 13 years.
This Chinese gender chart was right in my last three pregnancies!
Go to www.yourdays.com. This site helps you track when you ovulate and best time to conceive a boy or girl. My friend used this to try for a girl and it worked. Good Luck!

I know this may sound silly but I have 2 boys and 1 girl. I know what day it was when I conceived. And my husband was always in the domineering sexual position for the boys. I was on top when I conceived my baby girl. Weird I know and probably means nothing at all but since you asked . . .
Research the Shettles method- there is a book about it. Although there is no way to know for sure- I used it and it worked for me!
Good luck,
E.
I've hear the boxer - boy and briefs-girls. Something about the testicles being closer to the body increases the temperature and thus they do not thrive.
I;m sure this doesn't hold true all the time.
Timing intercourse close to ovulation seems to be key. We used the Shettle's method (I think his book is called Choosing the Sex of Your Baby. You can google him). We're 2 for 2 in conceiving boys using his method!
I also agree with the ovulation thing. I've also heard of using a vinegar douche before sex. Not that I advacate douching. My mom had a friend who's husband demanded that she douched before sex and back then all that existed were the vinegar ones. She had all boys. So there may be some truth to it.
Read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It's a good book to read anyway and there is a chapter that addresses this issue in depth.
My suggestion would be to get an ovulation test and try on the day you ovulate, too many days before that and the chances of another girl is higher. It worked for me, X2. Good luck!
Like others said, learn to track your signs and have sex post ovulation. I have 4 girls ages 2,4,5,6. We had sex before I ovulated. With the last one we had sex post ovulation and had a boy. (Sadly he was still born at 40 weeks so we are hoping for another boy.)
The Chinese gender predictor calendar is right for all four of my children. Just remember it is how old you are when you conceive that's the predictor, not when the baby is born. We have 3 girls and 1 boy. When I conceived my son it was right when I was sure I was ovulating, not before I was ovulating like the girls. I say use the calendar, wait to try until you're sure you are ovulating (usually, that's one week from the first day of your period or use an ovulation kit), and any other technique, within reason, to get a boy. Good luck to you! Here is a free site for the Chinese calendar: http://www.babygenderprediction.com/chinese-gender-chart....
