It's a website you go to, choose what service you're looking for and then they connect you with people in your area who can provide the service. I found a washing machine repairman using this service and we are having crown molding put in our apartment tomorrow from a guy we found. You get connected to a few people so you can compare quotes. They call you...sometimes literally within minutes of sending the request.
We live in Lincoln Park...the guys putting our molding in are Lally Builders (Eamonn Lally) ###-###-####. You could also give them a call if you're in the area. Really nice guys and very reasonably priced.
I know a carpenter in the Lockport area who did a fabulous job in my house. His name is Dale Summers ###-###-####).
I know he had several references of very happy customers.
