Treat for Teachers (To Go with Pizza)

I need ideas on what to bring as a treat for the teacher appreciation day at my son's daycare. There will be a pizza lunch for the staff, and interested families are welcome to bring in a little treat for the teachers in honor of their appreciation as well.
My guess is most families will bring sweets, so I was thinking of making a nice salad. What do you think?

What can I do next?

Do you have to bring something to eat? Maybe some pretty flowers as a centerpiece would be nice and then they could take them home. Just thought I'd mention something a little outside of the box.

we're doing the same thing at daycare this week, and i'm planning on making a 7 layer salad for the same reason you have. it's green, it has to be prepared the day before, and it keeps really well in the fridge.

i like this recipe:

Here's my all-time favorite idea, which also turns into a "teachable moment" for most people!

Go down the produce isle at the grocery store, and buy one of every kind of fruit that we usually don't buy: star fruit, kumquat, papaya, ugli fruit, etc. Cut them up and put them on a platter with toothpicks to let every teacher sample at least one piece. Most of the time, it's the first time anyone's ever tried it. It's rather fun. And healthy to boot!

Definitely a salad - either a green salad or a tray of fruit. The teachers will love having a healthier option, or at least the option to add something healthful to their meal.

I think a salad would be a great idea. Your right, most people will probably bring some kind of sweet. I would go for a green salad. My favorite pizza place also has this salad I love. It is mixed greens with pecans, crandberries and blue cheese and comes with a balsamic dressing. Very yummy but pretty taste specific.

At our house we often have "pizza night" which includes regular pizza, veggie pizza, and fruit pizza for dessert.

I am also a teacher and fruit pizza sounds like a great idea as a treat. We get too many sweets too often. Fruit pizza is still "sweet" but much less sugar and chocolate.

My favorite would be a nice fresh fruit salad. Or individual little pots of flowers, they're really cheap right now.

A salad sounds refreshing with all sweets around..you can choose a veggie platter too.

Second the green salad - maybe a Caesar's salad.

I think a salad and a variety of salad dressings would be a great idea especially if you have teachers who maybe on a diet or would not prefer to eat pizza plus I happen to love a salad to go with my pizza. Wise choice mom.
