You might go to AAA and see if they can help....Never been to NYC......so I'm jealous......but I'm sure there is someone here who can help.
Take care, good luck and have a great time.
Dear Moms, A different type of question. We are taking our almost 2 year old toddler to NYC this Fall :) We are currently researching hotels. Any recommendations for a well located, child-friendly hotel? Anyone stay at the Hilton, Doubletree Inn Suites, or Affinia Gardens? Other?
Addendum: As I was wisely advised, I did google "child friendly" NY hotel etc...but I also wanted to see if any of you all had any first hand experiences in any NY hotels.
Many Thanks.
Jilly

Just do a Google search on "family friendly hotels in New York", or "child friendly hotels in New York."

I stayed at the Doubletree Times Square a few years ago. I didn't eat at the hotel, so I can't tell you about kid friendly eating, but the layout of the room is good for a family. They have a living room with a pull out sofa, and a master with either a King or 2 queens or doubles, one bathroom, and its in the heart of Times Square. There is a big Toys R Us, right on the corner of the street next to the Hotel. Also, when you check in, they give you warm chocolate chip cookies, for adults and kids.
I used trip advisor when booking my hotel, you can read tons of reviews.
My friends husband travels a lot, without kids and likes the Marriott. Another friend stays at the Hampton Inn, and she loves that. Both travel without kids. But I am sure if its not a 5 star hotel, its kid friendly. Good Luck.
I started taking my daughter to NYC when she was 17 months old and we visit 1-2 times a year. She is four now. We always stay at On The Ave. It's on the upper west side, really close to the Museum of Natural History and the park. There is a playground 1 block away and the neighborhood is relaxed and family friendly. The hotel is not geared towards families but the rooms are a good size for NY and many rooms have TVs in the bathrooms. A novelty for my daughter. (She loved watching Dora while she showered!) There is a rooftop balcony that's fun and a piano in the lobby. The hotel is on W 77th between Broadway and Amsterdam. Ask for a room facing Broadway, your toddler will have fun sitting in the window counting yellow taxi cabs. Hope this helps. Have a fun time.
