When my son turned 1 (he is now 2 1/2) our pediatrician told me to stop giving him bottles all-together. She said that if I don't stop giving him bottles at that age, it will be very hard to get him to drink from cups when he is older.
When I ran out of formula, I started giving him whole milk in a sippy cup. (He had been drinking water out of a sippy cup for a while with no problems) The first time he was given milk in his sippy cup he handed it right back to me - it wasn't his formula. After a couple of days, he was drinking milk with no problems. But we did have a bit of a transition for those few days.
I have several friends who did not stop giving their children drinks in baby bottles at age 1. They are now struggling to get their kids to drink from a cup.
My advice is to just make a clean break at age 1. Give her milk in a sippy cup and don't go back to the bottles. Good Luck with it!
