You will also get a birthday call from Geoffrey Giraffe on your child's birthday.
I signed my son up for Geoffrey's bday club at Toys R Us last summer. Completely forgot about it until I got a card in the mail telling me that when we can bring our birthday boy to the store, ask for a clerk, and get "special treatment."
Has anyone else done this? What do they do when you get to the store? If it's something small like saying "happy birthday" and giving him a sucker I'm okay with that. If someone is going to lead us through the store enticing my son with toys I'd rather not waste their time. We go easy on the birthday presents and I don't want to take my three year old through the store looking at toys that he can't have. So can anyone tell me what this "special treatment" at Toys R Us is?? Thank you!!

They give your child a birthday crown and balloon and while you wander around the store, every employee in the store intermittently gets on the overhead speaker and wishes your child a happy birthday. I usually take my kids there after their birthday and let them pick out a toy with some of the birthday money they received. They love it!
They will give him a balloon and a crown, you should also receive in the mail a coupon for $5 off.
I did this for my kids and all they got was a balloon and a paper crown that we had to put together. That was it there was no special treatment at all for the birthday child. Maybe it was just the store I was in I dont know.
The child also receives a call from Geoffrey himself the day of his birthday which is very adorable to hear. TRU is family freindly, I don't think they need to do too much to entice anyone. I beleive their name speaks for itself. I don't beleive I have ever gone in and not walked out with something.
You will be please, I am sure.
I believe they just announce on the loudspeaker, "Attention everyone, (your child's name) is having a birthday! Yay!"
