One of the best valentines games is the one where you use chopsticks to build a tower out of conversation hearts.

Fortune cookies make from felt. The kids will love writing fortunes to give to their parents. Word finds and crossword worksheets are fun too. Word unscrambles, mazes, etc. Pin the arrow on cupid?

I agree about the chopstick candy heart tower game. I think instead of chopsticks I used pencils with new erasers for a better grip. (pencils could be a prize?) You could set this up with pairs of kids going head to head, and then have a final showdown at the end for the championship. the kids loved this. If the chopstick/pencils make it too hard, just go with fingers.

Here is another game. Cut pink/red/white/purple tissue paper into hearts (3 inches or so). Group the kids into relay teams with their own container a few yards away. The child then has to use a drinking straw (have one for each child) to suck up a heart to carry it over to the container. Either have a time limit, or the first group to transfer all their hearts wins.

I know I did a game with a "heart transplant" theme. Can't remember exactly what it was, but carrying hearts with pencil/chopsticks or the straw/tissue paper combo could go with that idea. Do an "operation" board game style drawing of a guy that needs a heart for the kids to bring their hearts to.

I used these games with 3rd graders. Went well.
good luck!
