My little girl isnt a toddler yet, but had a really bad diaper rash. The doctor told me to get zinc Oxide cream which it's sold everywhere like CVS, Walgreens. It works wonderful for my 1 years old rash.
Have any momma's here had children diagnosed with "toddler's diarrhea"? I have a 17 month old son that has had diarrhea for about 2 months, followed by the a HORRIBLE diaper rash that I cannot get rid of. I was at the Dr. today with him and he said that it looks and sounds like "toddler's diarrhea." He told me to give him 1/4 tsp. Metamucil 2x a day for about a week and see if it helps at all. I was just wondering how long I have to worry about this and will his rash EVER go away???? Any responses are appreciated.

Keep him naked as much as possible. You can have him soak in a baking soda (or is it powder?) bath too. I think it's soda. I think that's supposed to help. I like Aquafor for rashes. I don't know if you've ever considered using cloth diapers but we haven't had a rash since I switched. I'm not sure about the diarrhea though. Just make sure he's drinking plenty of water.
i would try to get the poop back to normal first of all-lots of bananas, rice, cheese, and carrots. apply gobs of vaseline over the rash cream. poor baby...
A and D really worked for us too. Use powder when you change his diaper, it will help wick away some of the liquid that causes the rash. also, keep track of his diet to see if it is something food related that is making him have such bad diarrhea. Maybe he is lactose intolerant? Just a thought. There are viruses that go around that cause diarrhea and rashes. Check to see if he has a rash or red spots anywhere else, it could be rotavirus too. Good luck!
