Melissa & Doug makes a great wood one with magnetic "chores". You should be able to find it anywhere Melissa & Doug toys are sold (Carters, Oshkosh, Kohls, Target).
Hope it helps,

Does anyone know where I can purchase a pre-made chore chart for a toddler? I just got laid off so instead of going to grandma’s everyday my 3 almost 4 year old and 11 mo old will be staying home with me for the time being. I have had a rough transition with baby #2. The house is always a disaster and my husband works 2 jobs and isn’t home much. I get hardly if any help with household duties in addition to caring for the kids and working 40 hours a week. Having a messy chaotic house for the last 11 months has been very stressful .My husband thinks that the lay off was a blessing in disguise and that I should take time off and regroup, get some things done around the house and be home with the kids for the holidays.
By no means should I be on Clean House and I don’t need my home to be immaculate or run with military precision but I do I feel this is a good time to try and implement some consistency and get things organized. I would like my 3 yo to have more of a day to day routine. I would like a chore chart that is either magnetic or flannel board/felt. I do not want a dry erase board that I have to write in the task but one with pictures so she can easily recognize what she needs to do? Any suggestions?

I have a magnetic one by Melissa and Doug that we use with my two girls and I love it. I never had to give them a "prize" for getting everything done, being able to put the smiley's on is prize enough for getting their "sponsabilities" done. Good Luck!
My husband got one off the internet somewhere. It was free, he just had to print it out.
I have seen some nice ones thru accountablekids.com, I do not personally have one but I have heard good things about it. I do plan on getting one next year when my son turns 4.
As of right now I use ones from handipoints.com that I pre-make and print off myself.
Check out the one from onestepahead.com- choose the "Leaps and Bounds" tab at the top, then search "chart". There is a responsibility chart that may work for you and has a reward system built in as well. It works with velcro, and they have blank pieces that you can personalize as well. I also saw one made by Melissa and Doug, too. It is magnetic and has better pictures, but doesn't have the reward system. They have it at Amazon.com. I need to get one for my daughter as well!
I like a hand's on one, also, but I ended up going with goalforit.com you can create a free account and set up multiple charts. my daughter turned 4 last week and loves it! We have one chart (all pictures) for chores and one chart for behavior. you can even set up 'mullah' points to earn and make a list of prizes and their 'cost'. You can print out your charts too, if that is better for you.
Cute choice of backgrounds and the 'stickers' for each row of the chores. We got out of the habit for a few months and she BEGGED to do it again!
As far as staying home. Enjoy it! However, I went from teaching/coaching beyond full time hours to being home full time. I discovered for myself that I needed an adult outlet. My part time home biz fulfills that for me! My house is not perfect either - in fact, towards the end of the month you can eat off my floors - literally sometimes!!
Blessings,
L.
BTW - I'm originally from MN! Hastings - I miss the weather- not a fan of the Texas heat!
They have a really nice Mellissa & Doug chore chart at Borders.

This is slighly diffrent than the one we purchased (must be a newer version). We got ours over a year ago at the school book fair. I also saw if for sale at Barns & Noble... as for actually using it, I have no tips. We are yet to go a full week with remembering to mark stuff off.
But deffinatly a good Idea!
Hi B.
I am sorry i did not finish reading your post before I responded.
I just got a magnetic dry erase chore chart for my kids at micheals 9.99 but then seen them at walmart for 9.99. They are very handy but the magnetics are kind of small so you may not want them for a three year old good luck T.
I found a nice magnetic responsibility chart online at Target by Melissa & Doug. I couldn't find it when I went to the store, so you might just have to buy it online. Someone else suggested Once Upon A Child...that would be another great place to look.
I don't have a suggestion on where to buy one, but I made one on my computer. I just made a simple "table," and used clip art pictures. I then let them pick out some fun stickers to add to the chart when they did what they are supposed to do. I also thought about covering it with clear contact paper and trying dry erase markers on it to see if it could be reusable, but never actually got to trying that out.
Lakeshore is a teaching supply store and I have seen these types of charts in there.
I don't have a suggestion about a chore chart for your child, but a suggestion that's worked for me as a chore chart :) A book called "Sink Reflections" by Marla Cilley helped me go from constant frustration about the state of my house to a much more organized approach that helped me feel calmer and more in control of my house and my life. I highly recommend it!
I don't remember the specific website I used, but I searched free chore charts and found several good websites with printable potty charts and chore charts.
Is there a teacher supply store near you? That's your best bet, but not sure if they will have ones with pictures...
They sell all kinds of charts at Once Upon A Child!
I think I saw magnetic chore lists in the "One Step Ahead" magazine. You can probably find it online too.
