Hi Mommies and Daddies,

I observed on the mamapedia network that some are looking for mommies or daddies that would like to make playdates for their kids. I just wanted to know from all of you ladies and gents if you had a neutral place, safe place to take your child for a playdate is this something you would consider? It would be for a small fee and the place would offer healthy snacks for parents and kids along with the parents freedom to supervise kids but the freedom to chat it up with other parents. Would a communtiy of yours like a place of this nature. The ages would be from newborn-4 years old. WIthout giving you all the details this could really be an awesome place for interaction for your children and ways to make new friends and playdates.

What can I do next?

I'll be honest, I don't see a need for such a place. For a first or second playdate with a family we don't know well, we just meet at the playground.

Friends houses should be safe, back yards and parks are safe places. What happened to kids just playing together. Play is free. I would not pay.

Why do suburban parents make 'playing' so difficult? Take your child to the park and if there are other moms there--just chat. Simple and free.
