Hi - Can anyone tell me a good place to consider for food for my daughter's bday party - about 20 adults and 10 kids.. I am wanting to have casual, but fun food - NOT italian theme - as we did that last year... any suggestions??

What can I do next?

I always just did a big array of finger food appetizer type stuff when my kids were that age - actually I still do it, veggie trays, meat and cheese trays, those mini croissant sandwiches, you can get almost everything at costco, super easy, kids love the finger foods, and everyone can just snack all day long......hope you have a great time celebrating, sounds like a lot of fun!

subs, salad and deli sandwiches with fresh fruit... Jason's Deli would be great for that

fajitas would be good too

Well, for my daughter's 4th, I had Mexican theme, so we did carne asada, rice and beans. Catering...well, my brother was in charge of grilling the meat for tacos, I just ordered rice and beans for the same amount of people that you will be having.

Chick fil a sells trays of their nuggets. I did that one year and it was a huge hit....and not just with the kids! That and some fruit, veggies and maybe a cheese tray would be good. Pizza is always easy, but you might consider that italian? Good luck and happy planning!

I don't know the restaurants in your area, but something like a "build your own burrito bar" could be a lot of fun - have trays of rice, beans, tortillas, grilled veggies and one or two meat options, tossed salad, and bowls of cheese, salsa, chips, and guacamole

Chic fil a has some great platters you can buy. Not only do they have nuggets, but you can get wraps and fruit. That may be a good option. Walmart sells subs you can pre order and they feed a lot of people. You could make a salad and have some chips and dip. Or you could do a taco bar. I do this a lot when I have a crowd of adults and kids. I get soft and hard shells, beef and chicken, salsa, cheese, avacado, beans, lettuce, tomatoe, black olives and sour cream.

A taco bar takes more effor on your end, so if you want it easy go with a restraunt.

I just did my daughters party and I did burgers, chicken patties, veggie burgers, and a roast in the crockpot I slow cooked it, drained it (keeping the juice) then added BBQ sauce and some juice and onion (big hit). The rest was a can of queso with tortilla chips (big hit), baked beans, potato salad and a tossed salad. I was the cook and I know you said cater, but I am frugal. With the crock pots, it is all pretty easy.

Like others suggested, how about a mexican theme?
For my daughter's 1st b-day we had a taco guy come with the cart. He had 3 types of meat and onions, cilantro, etc. and rice and beans. It went over very well, who doesn't love a taco guy! =)
