Do any of you Ladies have those carpet squares in your home. I am wanting to try them in our walk out basement; we need new afforable, durable, attractive carpet (no pets, 5 kids and a husband) any comments negative or positive are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...to clarify I am talking about those carpet squares that you put together seen here http://www.flor.com/ I have only seen it on a few home improvement shows so I don't really know how to describe it...

I have the ones from Home Depot and love them. They are plush, soft and have padding built into the square. My basement has flooded twice and my washer overflowed more times then I care to remember and I just removed the soaked squares of carpet and let them dry outside overnight. They were like new with no mildew smell. It's been 5 years and they look like the day I bought them. They are stain resistant and were very easy to install.

I loved them. We were able to lay them ourselves easily in our basement. they were Legato brand from Home Depot. Also, our sump pump broke and flooded the basement once and we were able to hang them all out to dry and them re-lay them. Also, if someone stains one or something, you can move it to under the couch!! we also ordered one extra case for any change out were eventually necessary, but have not used them.

Funny you brought this up...Last week, I was working on getting our nursery ready. We have been in our house for almost a year and I stumbled upon the fact that the nursery's carpet is actually carpet squares! I would have never known; it looks so seamless. They used really strong tape to hold the squares down. It seems relatively durable, but my only complaint is that there is not a lot of padding. I'm not sure if you can buy some with more padding or not, but it looks nice and the squares are stuck in place really well. I would have never known any different!

We put them down in our old house over top of this ugly laminate floor. It was the kind that you peel and stick. We were happy with it. It looked good (you couldn't tell it was squares) and it stuck very very well. There was no way it was coming back up!

Hi R.,
Flor rocks!! They come fast, and completely professional and easy to use. I love mine ... we have them in the front hallway infront of the door (a heavy traffic area) and they are holding up beautifully (it has been about 1.5 years now). The only advice I would have ... watch the height of the pile and make sure you get ones that have similar height -- we mixed and matched a little and while people can't tell that the pile is slightly different heights ... I do (off like 1/16 of an inch) I would recommend getting samples first ... they are fast about those, and they help so much. Have fun!!

We did Flor in our first floor playroom to cover really expensive wood floors in our new house. WE LOVE THEM!! I picked a nice darker pattern and they were really easy to put in. My 3 year old had a few potty accidents. We swapped out the yucky ones with some extra we had so i could keep te floor covered while i cleaned them. They clean very easily. Look for coupons because they do get expensive. We also did our workout area in our basement. I noticed that i couldn't even feel any cold from the concrete while in bare feet.

Do you mean the square carpet samples? If so, I had them in my dorm room and loved them. I think I paid less than a dollar for each one and bought some extras so that if something got spilled I could just switch it out. I used duct tape on the back to attach them to each other and it looked nice and wore well. Good luck.
